Provided everything goes well this summer (i.e., fiance finds a good job, I find a good club and do well dancing, etc.), we'll be coming back to Amarillo early August to pick up the kids and actually MOVE all the stuff to Dallas.
My formula is as follows:
Fiance's monthly income=F
My average nightly income for the summertime=N
My monthly income from a "straight" job=M
If F + (12N/2) = $3000+, then we'll be staying in Dallas.
If F + M = $3000+, then we'll be staying in Dallas.
We've figured up that whether I'm dancing or working a "straight" job, we'll need about $3K a month to be comfortable in Dallas. I think I can safely assume that whatever my nightly average is NOW in summertime (and as a new girl), I should be able to make at least half that even in the slow part of the year. I don't want to work more than about 3 nights a week dancing. So that's where the first formula comes from, if that makes sense.
