    Default Spanish for Strippers

    Okay, you linguists. I need a little help in the foreign language department. Despite growing up in California, where learning Spanish would have been the sensible thing to do, I was Miss Cultured FancyPants at 14 and took French.

    How do you say-
    Where are you from?
    Isn't this a great club?
    I love dancing.
    Dances are 20 dollars.
    You can't touch me.
    You are so cute/ fun/ sexy!
    We'll have so much fun together.
    Let's go somewhere more private.
    We don't do that here.

    I could use an online translator, but I don't trust them. If you have any other typical phrases that might come in handy, I'd love to know them. (like put your dick away, you pervert)

    On, 2, I didn't put in a translation because that question directly translated doesn't sound right in Spanish, sounds off, if you get what I'm saying, lol... you may want to try something like, "El club esta gozando, si?" Which directly translated to English doesn't sound right, but sounds a lot better in Spanish, more casual & sexy.

    & on 6, Usted/Tu are to variations of the word, you. Usted is more formal, while Tu is more casual. Depending on your customer, business man, blue collar, etc... you'll want to make the right choice. =) Some Spanish speaking cultures consider it rude to use "tu" when addressing elders, bosses, or even someone you don't know very well. =/

    & to edit, 7a... is a very, very Spanish way of saying we'll have a goooooooooooooood time. The word "Gozar" [Gozando] doesn't even have a direct English translation, but it means something like, enjoyment, seduction, party... all rolled into one. Very seductive word if used in the right way. ;-)

    Let me know if you have any more questions. =D

    Thank You so much! The Spanish I've picked up from pop culture are less than appropriate for the a club hustle...

    A ella le gusta la gasolina, Da me mas gasolina!
    and Si tu quiere’ que te coma toda,
    Abre las pierna’, y dale Toma!

    Haha my mom always told me that learning Spanish could potentially double my income...but somehow I don't think she had stripping in mind when she said this.

    I prefer saying "Lo siento, pero no puedes tocarme" for "Sorry, but you can't touch me..." If you say this with a slight pout, then it's cuter.

    If he seems confused, say "No puedes tocarme-- Es la regla del club." (You can't touch me...it's the club's rule) This way, he can't blame you. And if it comes down to it, you can point to the cameras and say "No puedes tocarme porque hay cameras..." (You can't touch me because there are cameras). But learn how to accent this correctly--you don't pronounce 'camera' like you would in English.

    "No puedo salir contigo porque es peligroso para me." (I can't leave with you because it's dangerous) When he says "Por que?" you say "Porque no conozco a ti" (Because I don't know you)

    "Tenemos que parar ahora." (We have to stop now--for the end of your dance.)

    "Quieres continuar?" (Would you like to keep going?)

    "Quieres un baile mas?" (Would you like another dance?)

    "Quieres que yo baile para ti?" (Polite way of saying "would you like me to dance for you?"

    "Me encanta bailar para ti." (I love dancing for you)

    I'm trying to think of more...

    A few more conversational ones:

    "Buenas noches" (Good evening)
    "Hola!" (Hi!)
    "Como estas?" (How are you?)
    "Hasta luego" (See you later)
    "Mas despacio, por favor" (More slow, please... If they start speaking very rapidly)
    "Tengo solo un pocito de espanol." (I only have a little bit of Spanish.)
    "Me espanol es muy mal." (My Spanish is very bad.)

    You can tell how my Spanish-speaking customers have been, because this is all the Spanish I know:

    No soy puta - I'm not a whore
    No tucar, por la ley - No touching, it's illegal
    No busar, por la ley - No kissing, it's illegal
    No hay sexo aqui, solo baillamos - There's no sex here, we only dance
    viente - twenty

    Since no one has said much about pronunciation, I'll do the honors.
    All vowels in spanish are soft:
    a = saw
    e = say
    i = see
    o = so
    u = sue

    The emphasis is usually placed on the second to last syllable if the word ends in a vowel, and on the last syllable if the word ends in a consonant (except s, and there are many more exceptions you will have to learn as you go)

    Cs are prounounced as Ks when followed by a, o, or u, and as Ss when followed by e or i. Qu is pronounced as a K (just ignore the u), so QUI would be KI.

    If you feel like getting fancy, Ys are pronounced more like Js and Vs are pronounced more like Bs.

    "¿con quién puedo conseguir el sexo?"

    A dancer in Reno taught me that. Cause apparently she heard it a lot.
    "He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

    Dude. I really should learn spanish. I know I'd boost my income big time. Like 20, 30%. There are a lot of mexicans that come into my club, as I'm sure there are most places, and I would say only one or two dancers usually who speak spanish. During a few shifts a week I work with one spanish speaking dancer and she gets dances from every single mexican guy in there, the ones who don't like to be approached by other girls. I really should make this one of my summer goals.

    Exactly. I'm going to print this out and study it. I would take a class, but I'd prefer to learn Spanish as it's spoken here, not the formal Spanish they teach at the community college.

    My Spanish definitely gets a work out at my club. And I seem to be appealing to Hispanic men (probably because I look Hispanic) so this thread is helpful. I might need to print out a cheat sheet.

    The first thing I say is always: Yo hablo solamente un poquito de espanol. E yo hablo espanol muy malo! (Translation: I speak very little Spanish. And I speak Spanish very bad! lol)

    That's cute though. I think guys appreciate you trying. If I were in another country, I'd get dances with someone who attempted two or three phrases in broken English, instead of wannadance in the local language.

    Off topic but on, I used to have this HORRIBLE manager who would tell girls to take advantage of non-English customers....for instance if somebody would say in Spanish "Sexo?" and then you would negotiate a price for say VIP and they got handsy, he would be like, "We'll just take their money and throw them out. After all, you didn't know what sexo meant."

    Talk about the bad karma! This same manager also made a habit of claiming tips left for the dancers by customers were tips for him. "No, no, the customer said this was for me....." yeah...lovely.....

    Don't wander too far East then! I don't know if it's just my club, but I have had a lot of brushing up on my Spanish skills since I started dancing because if I didn't I'd make a ton less money.

    This is a good thread for me. I should add some of the phrases to my Hustle Tip sheet.

    it does help
    i realized many of the spanish speaking men werent getting dances cause they didnt know what the fuck we were saying to them when we asked for dances
    so i looked up a couple phrases:

    dos para unos= two for one
    viente (sp?)= twenty
    trente= thirty
    quarante (sp?)= forty
    la privado= a private
    no tocar no molestus is illegal= dont touch dont molest its illegal

    and my average went up by about a hundred a day
