    Default something wrong with toes?

I can only wear sunset strip shoes because I have extremely narrow feet. Well they went out of business so I bought a pair of pleasers 6 inch clear with two straps like the sunset strips I use to wear. Well long story short. I wore them twice, the second night by the end of the night my feet were burning. They felt blitered on the bottom. My feet kept sliding forward in them all night and I had to keep rearanging so my toes werent hanging through. So I wake up the next day and my middle toe and the one next to it on both feet feel bizzare. They feel like they have tight rubber bands around them. Has anyone had this happen? They have been like this for 5 days. I am scared there never going to feel normal. I havent even been to the gym because Iam scared to walk on the treadmil or to make them worse. I have an appointment with a podiatrist tommarow. I am so worried they wont know whats wrong.

That sucks. My wide feet posts usually don't have too many answers, but I can commiserate. I have found exactly one model of shoes that I can wear regularly.

One possibility is that you accidentally strangled off some of your circulation. I have had my last two toes go cold and numb in the winter just because I seem to have a really narrow circulatory path up thataway, and that can happen for several days. If they're not completely sensationless, it's probably not dangerous at the moment, but what I would do if I were you is soak them in warm water. Soak as long as you can, while massaging the toes. Don't use water that's too hot, just between normal bath temperature and skin temperature. Then, when you sleep, get a hot water bottle near your toes. It works better than an electric heating pad as water seems to conduct the heat into the body more efficiently.

Another possibility is that you pinched some nerves in there. But, the great thing is, warm water soaks help with that, too (I do them when I'm having carpal tunnel issues.)

I have had that happen before(a few times) when breaking in new shoes. You should be fine in a few days. You can go to the gym as normal, that is very common.

Thanks girls. I am reaking out because today is day 6. I travel for work and I am scared to book my trip that they wont be better and I wont be able to work. I put shoes on when I got up and I dont think I could work. Maybe Iam just freaking my self out more than I need to but like both feet are fucked. Mean girl how long did this last when it happened to you? The ball feels wierd too toward the pinky toes. Thanks brendita I tried heel and sole before I went out of town to get my sunset strip shoes and they told be they went out of business and they dont have anymore. But they continue to put them on the website. Grrr. Well Iam off to the podiatrist.

Two of my little toes feel "dead" for like a week after i break in a new pair of shoes. like sometimes they are numb and i can't even feel them and sometimes they have that pins and needles feeling. I was worried when it first happened too, but now i expect it.

Get some really good pads for your shoe and a smaller size. Maybe try to find shoe with an adjustable buckle on the front like some regular shoes have.

I posted how like it kindda feels like I have SUPER deep blisters on the pads of my feet, you can't see them or anything it just feels really weird and hurts like a blister would if it was way under the skin still. Dr. Shoals gel pads aren't really working for me, I'm still testing other brands out so I can't really recommend one but ANYTHING helps.

The pinky toe probably just hurts because it was slipping down and getting pinched, then unpinched then pinched again all night.

The other toe you were probably straining to keep you shoe one and trying to grip your shoe when your foot was slipping down. You can pull muscles or hurt a nerve in your toes if it was sitting weird and you tense it up. I'd try hot water soaks and massaging it and bending it. If it hurts too bad to massage the actual toe try the ball of your foot right under it and work your way up.

Thanks guys. Yeah after it happened I went out and bought like 3 different dr scholl pads. I havent tried any yet cuz I havent worked. I know I can only wear sunset strip and since theyve gone out of business I have a pair of there shoes I just bought that came completely appart at the base. Like the slipper and strap part came apart from the heel. Iam going to try to repair them so Ill at least have something when I travel that I know wont hurt me. The podiatrist said for me to wear 3 inch. Yeah right. He said the tendons are inflamed and the nerves as well. He said it will just keep happening if I wear the 6 inch heels. Well it never did before with the sunset strip brand and I have been wearing them for 7 years. The freaking pleasers did this. Thanks for everyones replies. I feel better knowing its happened to someone besides me.

You can definitely get shoes on a three inch slope - like where the difference between the platform and the heel is 3 inches or less.

I sorta know how you feel. I have a couple of toes that will randomly lose circulation. We're talking pale as a sheet, ice cold, dead-body level lack of circulation. I've found the most effective way to help them is to massage my feet and especially the effected toes untill the circulation returns.

I had the "dead toe" thing going on and off the whole time I was dancing. I have tiny feet and everything is too wide, except for Tony's which are too narrow in a 5 (there bigger sizes are much wider). If you are worried see a Dr, but seriously, we all have it happen at one time or another. It sucks, but never seemed to be dangerous.
