ugh. I've never had to do this before, so I'm not really sure what I need to do, but I can't just keep letting them rape me like this.
I signed up for a membership at Bally Total Fitness (BIG mistake, they are super-shady). They had this program where you could try it out for two months and if, at the end of 60 days you had done at least 16 visits to the gym and were dissatisfied, you could cancel your membership within 10 days.
So I did. I did everything by the book: did the required initial personal training session (which was useless btw), went over 20 times, and cancelled within the 10-day time slot after the 60-day period was up.
But now they're still billing my credit card.I cancelled in person at the office AND sent a letter of cancellation for good measure, b/c I've heard too many horror stories about shady dishonest gyms trying to prevent you from cancelling.
So what do I do now? This is bullshit. How do I go about disputing that charge on my card? Or is there anything else I can do?
