Default Are you an Oregon dancer?

Hi all, I am fairly new here and was wondering if all the Oregon girls can help me?

So my question is, what are the good clubs ? Ones where I can make money, that aren't too nasty or full of drama? I was thinking Dolphin 2 (I have worked at the Dolphin clubs in the past) but I have heard mixed things as of late.

    Any advice?

I will warn you that Dolphin 2 has been overrun with newbie dancers lately, which has made making money very hard. I'm not sure if Portland is just in a bad dry spell or what, but its been bad money everywhere lately from what I've heard.

    Thank you, Stevie.

Oregon has always been a more difficult place to work, I think, but things seem really weird here since the whole OLCC thing.

Check the thread on the Seattle strip club busts. Along with many other factors, it sounds a huge new influx of WA dancers (more so than usual). Not sure what is a money making club where you would not have drama...

Portland's hurting hard. I think I've only cleared $200 once in the past month. It all started around the last week of April, early May... I don't know what happened, I guess the weather got nice or something.

Yek, it really shouldn't affect me this way, but I'm absurdly happy to see you say that.

I'd worried it was just me, like i was broken or something!

But yeah, UGH money's been shit. I'm happy if i take home 100-150, even on a friday/saturday night!

Slumps come and go, I am sure it will pick back up. Or, at least I hope so, ha ha.

Do you guys mind if I ask where you are working?

I've worked at several different clubs in town this month. Tried Annie's a few weeks ago too - did fairly well there, but the 10-hour shifts and no ventilation were brutal. I wouldn't want to do that five days in a row again, nuh-uh. CKXXX and I went to Bend as well and didn't do so hot there either. I think the slump is statewide, if not nationwide.

Ack, that doesn't sound promising. I have to find somewhere to work soon, though.

If the foot surgery thing is a big issue (i.e. it's difficult to dance), have you considered lingere modeling? There are threads on here and you want to do your research -- it is easy to get roped into a situation where you don't want to be, but that risk should be minimized by choosing wisely...

Money's shit here in Salem too, and I don't usually even have seattle girls to worry about. This is the first time my average has actually gone down since I started dancing in November.

I'm also glad to hear about the money being slow for everyone. I broke $200 once in the last month and a half, and was so excited it was ridiculous. Four months ago breaking $200 was nice but not unusual at least once a week. It's been sllloooowwwwww and having to change clubs hasn't been helping. The only clubs that seem to be making money anymore are Club 205, Acropolis, and Dancin' Bare. I'm on at Dancin' Bare now, but have too many tats and not hot enough for Club 205 or Acropolis.

Hi there, I would suggest paying attention to the clubs that do the most advertising and that would be where the money is. It seems Cabaret does alot, dolphin and Stars too. Good Luck!

Just FYI...I'd stay FAR away from Caberet. My experience there was.....less then good. PM me if you want details.

Tons of advertising doesn't necessarily mean the dancers are making money. The owner could be trying to boost a failing business, and/or bleeding the dancers' money to pay for the advertising. My favorite club doesn't advertise at all.

Stars cabaret spends a ton per month on advertising and they are a business that is doing wonderul, I cannot drive anywhere and not hear them on the radio. They spend a bit of cash in our local Exotic Dancer directories which is simply a toss in the bucket compared to radio. I know they are really busy. I suggest them. They do have stricter rules, policies and all that which is probably not a big deal if you are making alot of money. Believe me they are not a failing business. The Dolphin clubs are their competition. I have not heard them advertise anywhere except our local directories but you must understand they have been around longer than Stars. Its a pretty clean place from what I understand. Alot of big money goes there. They know what they are doing. Stars and Dolphin are heavy advertisers who are not bleeding money off the girls and who are serious about business. When I talk to girls who make money who do not like strict scheduling and policies and such, they usually say they have worked at Cabaret or Jiggles. From what I understand these places are more on the dirty side but that is something that I cannot say only what I have heard. I do know Jiggles spends thousands of dollars a week on radio and you must understand Exotic magazine is the cheapest advertising around. Girls tell me they make good money at Cabaret despite its faults.......Remember it is not where you are. If you are hot and know how to hustle you can make bank at the most podunk clubs that have only 3 to four girls per shift!

Stars Caberet is I believe a different club then Caberet..? I was warning away from Caberet on Burnside. It wasnt about just a bad club....police and lawsuits are involved.
I worked at the Stars in Bend and the people there were really nice. I was going to try one of the Stars near Portland, but ran out of time.

Ya, Stars and Cabaret are dif. I forgot it's even called Stars Cabaret. And ya, they have clubs in Bend, Beaverton and Salem. I've only worked at the one in Beaverton and yes, there is money there. And yes, it is a very beautiful, clean club. I always recommend it.
