    Default Lite up shoes annoying?

I need a new pair of shoes. Just wondering from a customers perspective if lite-up shoes (shoes with flashing lights) would annoy you when getting a dance?

They look great on stage and on the floor but I wouldn't want the flashing lights to be annoying during a private dance.

I have them and have been told by a customer-friend that customers hate them and find them incredibly annoying. But I still work them occasionally. When I'm dancing on stage, most people don't even notice because of all the other lights flashing all over the place. On the floor, when customers mention them sometimes I'll reply (jokingly) with a sad look on my face, "They're making me wear them so I'll stop running into stuff." Or, if I'm in a spunky mood, I'll just bang them together and announce they're my attention whore shoes, and then I'll yell "See! Look at me!! Look at me!!!"

If you're going to have outlandish props, you gotta have an outlandish hustle. You can't just show up one day in goofy shoes and act totally normal. They're great every once in a while but I don't wear them too often. Most of them don't have ankle straps so they're easy to just kick off before a dance. I usually throw my dress over them until they stop blinking when I'm doing a private dance.

Just remembered another awesome line to use with the flashy shoes (don't know what color yours are, but mine are blue which is probably the best color for this):

I love making a joke out of them by saying something along the lines of, "What I really wanted was those special lights they use in CSI to detect semen, but then I realized how embarrassing it would be if for some reason, my shoes accidentally got too close to my forehead."

There are many good variations/extensions for this one. "...but then/besides, they might be able to trace my smudged hand print to your crotch and ummm my boss likes us to be a little more discrete about that kind of stuff." Just say it in a really ditzy voice, and then look them straight in the eye, smile mischievously and wink.

Once you've established yourself as the hot (given ), funny, sexually-suggestive spunky girl with really bright shoes, everyone will want their dances and they'll know just how to find you. On busy shifts with more of a younger crowd, sometimes I'll pull out the shoes just to use this hustle.

I dont think I'll get them. I don't think novelty things are usually good. I did used to have shoes with feathers on them and customers liked those. Maybe I should buy another pair of those.

Not a customer but I think they are distracting. The worse is when a girl has on a pair and the light is out on one shoe. It's like being behind someone for miles with their turn signal on!

FYI: The CSI light is blacklight, works the same.

Not a customer, but I fricking hate those shoes. I like the call the girls who wear them the stripper police.

    funny you should mention that.

i got a pair of the light up "skull window" ones. i always said i'd never own a pair of light up shoes, but i couldn't resist when the skull ones came out.

they have blue lights and i do, indeed, wear them with a cop costume on costume day. lol

i thought customers might not like them, but i get a TON of compliments from guys when i wear them. in fact, the first day i wore them a guy told his friend he wanted to do the private room with the girl with the light up shoes. his friend came and got me and i did an hour with the guy right off the bat.

also, i find that the ones like i have.. where the lights are only in "windows" of the shoes.. are less bright than the clear ones with lights.

ive been looking for a new pair of shoes lately and i ran across those and thought they were the coolest thing. they kind of take me back to childhood i dont think id wear them in the SC because like other people said it is too distracting. especially when only one shoe works...all you attention is drawn to that foot. but IRL hell yeah id wear them! but i always wear weird things like that lol

^ the ones i posted are super sensitive. i've never had that "only one working" problem or the thing where you have to STOMP to get one to work. i never owned a pair of light up shoes before but i know other girls who had those problems.

I think the skull ones are cute, but those blink all one color. A lot of the light up shoes I've seen blink all different colors....It's like a little rave going on in the bottom of somebody's shoe... I personally don't care for it, I think they're really tacky and distractinv....the skull ones are cute though...or maybe if they blinked pink through little hearts?

I've never seen them, but I don't think I would mind. As a customer, I think anything that makes a dancer feel confident and sexy will enhance her attractiveness. I don't think it would distract me in a private dance, since I'm generally focused on everthing from her navel up. I think anything my ATF wears is sexy just by being associated with her.

The batteries wear out real quickly in them. I have a pair and just being in my bag makes them light up so I was constantly replacing the batteries. Personally, I love light up shoes but I'm can also be real tacky.

I carefully analyzed the pros and cons of a wide variety of DVD upconverters back when I was shopping for one. After much research, the final, close decision went to the one that has a blue light on it. Because blue lights are cool.

On that note, flashy lights are cool. Go for it!

I'm also in the non-customer category, but find the flashing shoes to be very distracting when trying to admire a beautiful woman.

Ladies please feel free to answer this. I didn't mean that I only wanted customers opinions, I just didn't want to put it in stripping coz we told the guys to pretty much stay out of there.

Yeah, I see kids running around in them and I wonder if it's like the chicken and the egg thing - who wore them first? Either way, someone is a major perv.

Actually I was thinking about getting them at one point, but then when I saw that dude that walks around at fairs, you know with the lite up roses and neon necklaces, I realized I would be the nekkid equivalent. And I like to think I'm going for something a little less carnival-y - & more classy (yeah with a g-string and landing strip).
