Yes well. Good luck to any club owners association in dealing with legal channels after the death threats against Diane Finley. I'm sure after the RCMP has been called in to protect her from the same organizations, their legal efforts will go along swimmingly. Even more so after HRDC has claimed that the prodigious number of visas given out in the 90s were also the results of threats from organized crime.
Plus anyone who buys the "shortage of strippers" argument has had either no exposure to the business, is a complete moron or has another agenda.
I have taught that the sky in all its zones is mortal and its substance was formed by a process of birth
I haven't read the article yet, but it really does not feel like we have a shortage at my club. The opposite even.
I can see how small cities in Northen Ontario could have stripper shortage cause no one wants to strip in their small town, they usually hire girls from agencies and not many girls actually wanna go there.

Thats all BS, these idiot club owners can't get any Canadian girls to work for them because they are old chauvanistic pigs who scare any women with a brain away..of course they need some poor desparate girls to work for their crappy club! right now there are a HUGE number of eager and willing mostly Romanian dancers working in Toronto clubs and surrounding areas,. What should happen is to get these scummy little lowlife club managers out of business and get the serious business minded money making people, organizations etc., in the club scene to promote REAL entertainment, not a Romanian refugee camp.

I had an opportunity to manage and run a new club in Ontario, but I decided against mainly because I planned to make this my last year dancing with school goals etc.,, it's such a shame though that in a place like Ontario , Canada , which is very similar to the demand for dancers in many states in the U.S. , that things are and continue to remain so backward here ,and the girls don't really rule the clubs like they should. Maybe a..... "Union" is the only thing that can get these club owner's ousted out of their clubs for now...I give up unfortunately for now....but inspire anyone to change the sorry state of clubs, managers , rules etc.. which don't at all reflect the current times, generation of new dancers emerging out there.

That word will get you killed up here!
The last person who tried to form a union...over 10 years ago, was found in the river.
There are associations available to educate dancers on their rights and obligations involving their line of work. They also fight court battles on dancers behalf.
EDRAC..Exotic Dancers Rights Association of Canada
DERA..Dancer Exotic Rights Association
SWC
P&P
the list goes on.....
ps....there is an upcoming court case..regarding extortion...cant tell you about much about it right now...but I will post the outcome.
They managed to have licensing and certain bylaws abolished in some cities in Ontario...and are now battling other issues regarding dancers.
Remember they do this FOR DANCERS...not Clubs or Bylaws.
AEAC is currently under investigation regarding immigration laws.
Oh...and there is NO shortage of dancers...there is just a shortage of good clubs left.
