The Body shop: Like she said, stage can be good, especially late into the night. The problem is that with so many girls it can take a while to get to your turn and instead of a line up, you tell the DJ when you want to go on stage. There has been a few times where I have wanted to go on stage but there were 5 or more girls in front of me and this limited me from being able to ask for dances because I was afraid I might miss my turn and miss out on good stage tips. One time I actually DID miss my turn cuz I was doing a dance. Like the OP said though, while it gets really crowded in here, most people have just stumbled in from bars or other clubs and have no intention of buying any dances. The last time I worked there I was asked to "hang out" outside the club several times. A lot of timewasters here, but I do hear some of the girls make 1k a night. I dont know how though, probably extras or overcharging or not telling the guy when a song is up. the most i have made here is like 180, there are wayyyy too many girls here.
Also, I though tthe tip out was ten dollar minimum. No one said it was 10 percent...
The Score:
GHETTO!!! Way too many neighborhood immigrants with an occasional out of towner who is staying in a hotel downtown and doesnt know any better. A lot of extras going on, a lot of unsophisticated ( seriously some hillarious shit iver heard in that dressing room about past escorting days and gangsta boyfriends and cholo cheap ass fuck buddies who are afraid they might be the baby's daddy and have to pay child support) impoverished girls who are more than happy to provide extras for the price of a dance. Plenty of guys who get upset when you tell em they cant suck your tits. Lots of people who don't speak English and make minumum wage (seriously wtf are you doing here if you have no money?) I hated this place. Even the freaking manager told me I didn't belong in a place like this. Sadly I think this is actually the LEAST ghetto club downtown.
Also, while the tip out is taken out of your house fee and such, you are still expected to tip everyone if you dont want them to hate you, at least that is what i heard from the other girls. 1 dollar per dance to the dj, manager, floor guy, and whatever you want to the bartender
I will add a few more clubs I have worked at
VIP Showgirls:
I found it pretty easy to sell dances here but it is so freaking dead that even when I got a dance from every customer they came in i still only went home with like 100 bucks. The thing I hated most about this place was that even though it was so dead the manager still likes to enforce shifts, like you have to stay till the end of the night no matter if you got there at 7pm or 10pm. If this was a popping club, I'd understand, but when there are 15 girls working and only 3 customers, I think it should be okay to let a few leave early. Also, they have a pool table, which makes some guys come in just to play pool and this really annoyed me. Lots of Mexicans too, and the place is in a freaking shopping complex. Come on now.
I don't remember the tip out and stuff but I do know that the earlier you arrived, the less money you had to pay for house. Also, instead of the customer paying you, he has to buy tickets before he dances with you, which makes it weird trying to sell more than one dance.
The Rouge Van Nuys:
I like this place the best out of all the nude clubs I've worked at. Its not dead, but its not always popping either. Luckily, unlike the body shop (which will often have 50 or more girls working), there are maybe 25 girls at the most working on any given night, at least from what I have seen. The girls here are overall nice and I always feel okay leaving my suitcase unlocked which I cannot say for the body shop. There are a lot of neighborhood cholos who come here and only do the 2 for 1s which the DJ announces every half hour (or just stare at the stage for free), but we do have some people with money coming in as well. The 2 for 1s, 3 for 2, 4 for 2s are cut short. Management is nice (though Brian can be a little insensitive at times I think) and the floor guys are super nice (or maybe they just have a crush on me idk). The only complaint I have here is the cut the club gets
16 dollars out of every 40 dollar nude dance
7 dollars out of every 20 dollar topless dance
100 dollars out of the half hour VIP "champagne room" (300 bucks)
Then you have to tip the dj, the manager, and the floorguys 1 dollar per dance, so at the end of the night you leave with maybe 60 percent of what you made, which isnt terrible, but ive worked at clubs where you get to keep a higher percentage. its okay though because its busy enough where you can make at least 150 on a bad night. Also, the earlier you show up, the cheaper the house fee, and if you show up before 7pm you only have to pay 14 for every nude dance and 6 out of every topless dance.
ONe more thing- Mondays all the dances are half off and i will never understand why so many girls work on mondays because its really a rip off for us. it attracts the cheapest crowd ever and suprisingly its not any easier to sell dances even when a topless dance is only 10 bucks (and we only keep 7 of that, wtf!!). the guys i came across when i worked 1 monday were cheap (didnt tip), only willing to do topless and only willing to do 1 or 2 dances regardless of the bargain price. i almost went home crying that day because by 1am i had only made 50 bucks. luckily i left with 100, but had this been any other night i would have left with at least 200 with the number of dances i did.
Plan B: This is my favorite place besides the Rouge because of the quality of customers. Unfortunately its very regulars based and unless you have been working here a long time, you probably wont be making hundreds a night. The dances are only 20 bucks and you get to keep 15 of that. There is a VIP area that is 150 for 5 dances (you keep 125) and the champagne room which is 250 for half hour (you keep 200) and 500 for an hour (you keep 400). I have worked here for 2 months and have only been in the champagne room once and have done a total of like 3 or 4 VIPs. A lot of girls here are in the champagne room and doing VIPS almost every day though, you just have to develop a following. A lot of guys here have a lot of money, you just need to learn who they are and what makes them tick. This place is the classiest place I have worked at. I dont deal with much gropping and disgustingness here. The only time I do is when we have people stumble in from Fantasy Island across the street. Tip out is 5 dollar minumum to the bar, 7 minumum to security, and 10 minumum to the DJ.
Complaints I have about this place: Too much distraction- they have TVS that play the game, so a lot of guys come here to just watch the game and dont get any dances, they also have great food, and a full bar, so a lot of guys come in just to eat and drink and dont get any dances. And then there is this group of assholes who sit out in the smoking area all night and never get a single dance or tip a single girl for her time. They dont realize how loserish they really are to come to a strip club almost every day just to smoke cigars. I'm pretty sure they think they are pimping or something. Also, a lot of guys here who want to see you outside the club, but I guess that is common in any club. Problem is though that I hear the owner often sends out people to ask girls for their contact info so he can fire them if they oblige, so i wouldn't feel comfortable exchanging contact info with anyone here even if i actually liked the guy! A lot of girls do it though and make outside money from going on dates with these guys. Anyway besides that its all good. The management is pretty strict here, at least with the newbies, so you wont see many extras going on (we are not even allowed to sit on the customers laps while on the floor). Oh yeah one more complaint- we have schedules, which we set the week before, if you dont call in early enough you will not be able to get scheduled for most days out of the week, and I can never seem to get scheduled on thursday (when supposedly all the billionaires come in) no matter how early I call.
Other stuff: We have to do a showcase (costume) every day and they wont let you in if you dont have a costume for the night.
No house fee
no tip rail, which sucks cuz people will sit at the tables right next to the stage and not tip. stage tips suck here for the most part, but they suck everywhere besides the body shop.
5 dollar valet parking required.
the guards actually see who you leave with which means you cant leave with a customer, even if that customer is your friend or relative. i tried leaving with my friend one time and security stopped me
Oh yeah, this is a bikini club
