    Arrow Los Angeles Club Reviews

Hi there! I've been lurking around SW for a long time now, but I've never really posted on the forums. So I thought I'd introduce myself finally and share my reviews of the dreaded LA clubs.

These reviews are to the best of my knowledge, correct, but some places I haven't worked at in months and things can get jumbled up. So please correct me if I'm wrong.

    Bare N Legal
    Pomona

I really loved this club and would go back if it weren't so far. The outside is very discreet - it's a plain cement building with a neon sign that says "Bare N Legal." Majority of custies were Hispanic - being able to speak a little bit of Spanish is definitely a plus. The VIP area used to be curtained, however I heard from a friend that still works there that they finally took down the curtains. So the VIPs are just dark booths with a small couch seat thing. Nude/topless dances are done in a separate regular lap area at the back of the club - quite similar to the VIP but without the wall dividers. You do have to sell drinks (I don't remember how many. maybe 6?) but the waitress/bartender generally takes care of it by asking the guys for you. When you sell a dance, the guy pays the bar, the bar hands you a ticket, and at the end of the night you exchange the tickets for your money. It was nice not worrying about your cash being stolen. The club has a small triangular stage set in the corner - only five guys can sit up there at one time so there isn't much stage money. Bathroom is right next to the DR. No schedule, but they do expect you to work a few days a week minimum. Expect high contact.

    Tip Out:
    $25 house
    10% to dj
    management
    waitress/bartender
    doorguy

Dance Prices: (cost / take home)
    nude 40 / 25
    topless 30 / 20
    vip 3 song 70 / 50
    vip 5 song 120 / 90

    Hours:
    Weekdays: 11am to 2am
Weekends: (Fri, Sat) 11am to 3am

    Star Strip
    LA

This place looks awful from outside - cheesy Greek sculptures and flashing neon lights. At least you can't miss it when you drive by... Anyway, the inside isn't much better. It's quite small. The seats along the sides of the club are almost like restaurant booths, very uncomfortable to sit in and seem to allow the customers try and hide from you. The fog machine is despicable! I hate it with a fucking passion! It makes me feel like I'm in the jungle and it can even be hard to find a custie amidst all that smoke! They keep the lights way down here, it's seriously dark. Lap area is in the back, in a room with small mini couches along the walls. VIP are separate open rooms with a larger couch the guy can actually lay down on. There are three stages, two regular ones and a shower stage. The small regular stage is basically just for auditions and for girls who want to practice while it's slow. The larger regular stage is the main stage. The shower stage is rarely, if ever used (I was the one who would go and ask to do the shows - the management is too stupid to actually try and benefit from having a nice shower stage.) Most of the custies are just tourists, traveling businessmen, or people from the area who are first-timers to the club (meaning, most people who come here don't come back). For the few customers that they do get, a good amount have money. However, the girls here are competitive - too many girls, too little custies - and it can be crazy with two girls swooping in on the same guy right as he walks in the door. All in all, if you drive a mean hustle and can deal with a lot of bitchy drama in the tiny DR, give it a shot. Expect medium to high contact.

Dance Prices: (cost / take home)
    nude 40 / 25
    topless 30 / 20
    vip 3 song topless 100 / 70
    vip 5 song nude 150 / 100
    vip 1/2 hr nude 330 / 200
    vip hr nude 600 / 400

    Tip Out:
    $25 house
10% to dj (or $2 per song)
    management
    security

    Hours:
    Weekdays: 7pm to 4am
Weekends: (Fri, Sat) 8pm to 5am

    Seventh Veil
    Hollywood

On to the Seventh Veil. As you might already know, this club is owned by the same family that owns Star Strip and Crazy Girls. So there are a lot of similarities between the two nude clubs... Same stupid Greek statues and mirror shit on the outside, same dance prices, etc. Recently they had a big scandal with a manager raping a girl so I'm not too sure what it's like over there at the moment. But, anyway... The club is on the small side. Two rectangular stages with two poles take up most of the club - which fortunately forces most people to sit at the stage and watch the show. On weekends and when it gets crowded, they'll have two girls on stage, rotating per song for two song sets. The DR is really really small. Add that to some bitchy ghetto girls and there are potential problems. (I only worked at the Veil a few times, but I've heard experiences from several girls who came to Star Strip instead because of all of the drama over there.) If they feel you are competition to them, they can be very nasty. Just be careful leaving valuable things around and try not to piss anyone off. From what I remember, it was mostly a younger clientele. Strangely, the VIP and regular laps are done in the same room. A lot of 2-for-1 specials to the horrifying "Girls Girls Girls" song. I do believe that they got rid of the schedule here, but if you work regularly, expect phone calls every night from them asking for you to come in. Expect medium to high contact. By the way, if you get hired here or at Star Strip, you can ask to try the other club (which is what I did... and then I ran back to Star Strip...). Sometimes they even swap girls and staff back and forth if they're short on people.

Dance Prices: (cost / take home)
    nude 40 / 25
    topless 30 / 20
    vip 3 song topless 100 / 70
    vip 5 song nude 150 / 100
    vip 1/2 hr nude 330 / 200
    vip hr nude 600 / 400

    Tip Out:
    $25 house
10% to dj (or $2 per song)
    management
    security

    The Body Shop
    West Hollywood

Alright, so I've only worked here once, but that was all I needed for my opinion on this place. I'm pretty sure that the Body Shop is owned by relatives of the family that own Star Strip, the Veil, and Crazy Girls (correct me if I'm wrong). So it has the same mirrors, Greek sculptures, neon lights thing going on as well. I worked on a Friday night and it got packed. I mean really crowded. There were a ton of girls and a ton of guys and more girls. Unfortunately, it seemed like most of the people had come for the social hangout scene than to get dances from naked girls. There is no VIP here, which made me very sad, but the stage money can be very good. If you have a nice stage performance, this could be a great place to work weekends when it gets busy - they have two stages going (you rotate from one to the next) and they are both generally packed. You have to climb up this crazy narrow staircase to get to the DR's (there are 3 different ones) and the DJ. The management is very lenient and don't seem to pay attention at all - I saw girls smoking, drinking, and doing whatever the fuck they wanted to in the DR's. Dances are done in these booths with guys sitting in a rather cramped chair. There's a floater always watching nearby, but he really didn't seem to give a shit about what I was doing, just how many songs I was doing it for. Expect medium to high contact.

Dance Prices: (cost / take home)
    nude 40 / 25
    topless 30 / 20

    Tip Out:
    $25 house
10% to dj (or $2 per song)

    Hours:
(I am almost positive that they have a day shift here...)
    Weekdays: ??? to 4am
Weekends: (Fri, Sat) ??? to 5am

    The Score

    Downtown LA

So I currently work at the Score. The prettiness of the club itself is definitely the best out of all of these clubs I have listed (well, maybe the interior of BnL is better). Anyway. There is one big stage with two poles. On busy nights, there will be two girls on stage rotating per song for two song sets. You can show up whenever you want, but it's a 6 hour shift minimum. There are 3 VIP rooms, each is set in a different corner of the club and sectioned off with a (wtf are those things called... the thing that hangs between two poles on hooks...? anyone...?). It's a let the guy lay down on the couch thing. There are two lap areas, one for topless and one for nudes - depending on where you're doing your dance, the floater counts songs for the kind of dance you're doing. Guys pay you directly, you tip out at the end of the night. Let's start with the bad things, since complaining is always more fun... Clientele is almost 99% Hispanic working class guys. Be prepared to say a lot of "Quieres un baile". You don't have to sell drinks, but if you're sitting with a customer the waitress will probably come up and push the guy to buy you one (this seriously annoys me). You can't bring in your own cd's and you can't pick out your own songs - you choose a genre of music (rock, hip hop, etc.) and the DJ will choose for you accordingly. You can't just sit in the DR - the floater and management are always coming in to yell at girls to get off their asses. There are a lot of 2-for-1 and 3-for-1 specials. It is really really really hard to sell VIP's here - the clientele here has the mindset where they would rather buy five 2-for-1's than a VIP. It's a very high contact club... You will see girls letting guys rub their pussys and girls rubbing guys' dicks in the regular lap area. (The worst I've seen was a girl licking a guy's thing through his pants... eewww.). But, now on to the GOOD things!!! The tip out is the cheapest I have ever seen. And not having to actually "tip out" (it's already taken out for you) makes life soooo much easier since you don't have to worry about a dj being pissy because you didn't give him that extra couple of dollars. They have very good cappuccinos. And they actually clean the stage throughout the night for you. And there used to be a bathroom attendant who would open the door for you and hand you paper towels after you washed your hands, but she seems to have disappeared. And there is valet parking. And they have a mini boutique with clothes and shoes attached to the club.

Dance Prices: (cost / take home)
(check the "Tip Out" section for nude/topless prices)
    vip 3 song 100 / 70
    vip 5 song 150 / 100
    vip 1/2 hr 350 / 200?

    Tip Out:
(Okay, so things get complicated here... The Score takes out a bigger cut from your dances, but that cut includes the tip out for everyone. So besides house, no more tip out. And, if you show up before 2pm, no house. All dances done before 4pm, only $2 taken out.)

    Weekends: (Fri, Sat)
    $25 house
    nude 40 / 26
    topless 20 / 11

    Thursdays:
    $25 house
nude and topless dances all 20 / 11

    Weekdays:
    $10 house
    nude 40 / 27
    topless 20 / 12

    Hours:
    Weekdays: 11am to 2am
Weekends: (Thur, Fri, Sat) 11am to 4am

I would like to start off by saying this is a great thread on LA, very informative! I would just like to add to the Score club review by saying they r booked for weekends for the next 2 months, if you are new and you do get hired you have to work mon-wed day shift and even then there are 20 girls! The manager that I spoke with who's name was johnny crowbar lol he said to give it a couple a weeks and check back...hope this helps someone, I wish I hadn't wasted my gas going all the way down there for nothing! lol

Thanks Krystel! Hmmm, I've been working at the Score lately and yea there's a lot of girls on weekends so I can see why they would set a limit. If you really want to work there for a weekend night, try calling at about 5 or 6pm and ask if you can come in - most of the regular girls haven't shown up yet.

Have you tried Fantasy Topless in Colton? Its a sister club to barely legal. Its cheap to work there and you can make a lot of money easily.

    Thank you for this!
I have worked at the Body Shop and The Score so I will add my input

The Body shop: Like she said, stage can be good, especially late into the night. The problem is that with so many girls it can take a while to get to your turn and instead of a line up, you tell the DJ when you want to go on stage. There has been a few times where I have wanted to go on stage but there were 5 or more girls in front of me and this limited me from being able to ask for dances because I was afraid I might miss my turn and miss out on good stage tips. One time I actually DID miss my turn cuz I was doing a dance. Like the OP said though, while it gets really crowded in here, most people have just stumbled in from bars or other clubs and have no intention of buying any dances. The last time I worked there I was asked to "hang out" outside the club several times. A lot of timewasters here, but I do hear some of the girls make 1k a night. I dont know how though, probably extras or overcharging or not telling the guy when a song is up. the most i have made here is like 180, there are wayyyy too many girls here.
Also, I though tthe tip out was ten dollar minimum. No one said it was 10 percent...

    The Score:
GHETTO!!! Way too many neighborhood immigrants with an occasional out of towner who is staying in a hotel downtown and doesnt know any better. A lot of extras going on, a lot of unsophisticated ( seriously some hillarious shit iver heard in that dressing room about past escorting days and gangsta boyfriends and cholo cheap ass fuck buddies who are afraid they might be the baby's daddy and have to pay child support) impoverished girls who are more than happy to provide extras for the price of a dance. Plenty of guys who get upset when you tell em they cant suck your tits. Lots of people who don't speak English and make minumum wage (seriously wtf are you doing here if you have no money?) I hated this place. Even the freaking manager told me I didn't belong in a place like this. Sadly I think this is actually the LEAST ghetto club downtown.
Also, while the tip out is taken out of your house fee and such, you are still expected to tip everyone if you dont want them to hate you, at least that is what i heard from the other girls. 1 dollar per dance to the dj, manager, floor guy, and whatever you want to the bartender

I will add a few more clubs I have worked at

    VIP Showgirls:
I found it pretty easy to sell dances here but it is so freaking dead that even when I got a dance from every customer they came in i still only went home with like 100 bucks. The thing I hated most about this place was that even though it was so dead the manager still likes to enforce shifts, like you have to stay till the end of the night no matter if you got there at 7pm or 10pm. If this was a popping club, I'd understand, but when there are 15 girls working and only 3 customers, I think it should be okay to let a few leave early. Also, they have a pool table, which makes some guys come in just to play pool and this really annoyed me. Lots of Mexicans too, and the place is in a freaking shopping complex. Come on now.
I don't remember the tip out and stuff but I do know that the earlier you arrived, the less money you had to pay for house. Also, instead of the customer paying you, he has to buy tickets before he dances with you, which makes it weird trying to sell more than one dance.

    The Rouge Van Nuys:
I like this place the best out of all the nude clubs I've worked at. Its not dead, but its not always popping either. Luckily, unlike the body shop (which will often have 50 or more girls working), there are maybe 25 girls at the most working on any given night, at least from what I have seen. The girls here are overall nice and I always feel okay leaving my suitcase unlocked which I cannot say for the body shop. There are a lot of neighborhood cholos who come here and only do the 2 for 1s which the DJ announces every half hour (or just stare at the stage for free), but we do have some people with money coming in as well. The 2 for 1s, 3 for 2, 4 for 2s are cut short. Management is nice (though Brian can be a little insensitive at times I think) and the floor guys are super nice (or maybe they just have a crush on me idk). The only complaint I have here is the cut the club gets
16 dollars out of every 40 dollar nude dance
7 dollars out of every 20 dollar topless dance
100 dollars out of the half hour VIP "champagne room" (300 bucks)
Then you have to tip the dj, the manager, and the floorguys 1 dollar per dance, so at the end of the night you leave with maybe 60 percent of what you made, which isnt terrible, but ive worked at clubs where you get to keep a higher percentage. its okay though because its busy enough where you can make at least 150 on a bad night. Also, the earlier you show up, the cheaper the house fee, and if you show up before 7pm you only have to pay 14 for every nude dance and 6 out of every topless dance.

ONe more thing- Mondays all the dances are half off and i will never understand why so many girls work on mondays because its really a rip off for us. it attracts the cheapest crowd ever and suprisingly its not any easier to sell dances even when a topless dance is only 10 bucks (and we only keep 7 of that, wtf!!). the guys i came across when i worked 1 monday were cheap (didnt tip), only willing to do topless and only willing to do 1 or 2 dances regardless of the bargain price. i almost went home crying that day because by 1am i had only made 50 bucks. luckily i left with 100, but had this been any other night i would have left with at least 200 with the number of dances i did.

Plan B: This is my favorite place besides the Rouge because of the quality of customers. Unfortunately its very regulars based and unless you have been working here a long time, you probably wont be making hundreds a night. The dances are only 20 bucks and you get to keep 15 of that. There is a VIP area that is 150 for 5 dances (you keep 125) and the champagne room which is 250 for half hour (you keep 200) and 500 for an hour (you keep 400). I have worked here for 2 months and have only been in the champagne room once and have done a total of like 3 or 4 VIPs. A lot of girls here are in the champagne room and doing VIPS almost every day though, you just have to develop a following. A lot of guys here have a lot of money, you just need to learn who they are and what makes them tick. This place is the classiest place I have worked at. I dont deal with much gropping and disgustingness here. The only time I do is when we have people stumble in from Fantasy Island across the street. Tip out is 5 dollar minumum to the bar, 7 minumum to security, and 10 minumum to the DJ.
Complaints I have about this place: Too much distraction- they have TVS that play the game, so a lot of guys come here to just watch the game and dont get any dances, they also have great food, and a full bar, so a lot of guys come in just to eat and drink and dont get any dances. And then there is this group of assholes who sit out in the smoking area all night and never get a single dance or tip a single girl for her time. They dont realize how loserish they really are to come to a strip club almost every day just to smoke cigars. I'm pretty sure they think they are pimping or something. Also, a lot of guys here who want to see you outside the club, but I guess that is common in any club. Problem is though that I hear the owner often sends out people to ask girls for their contact info so he can fire them if they oblige, so i wouldn't feel comfortable exchanging contact info with anyone here even if i actually liked the guy! A lot of girls do it though and make outside money from going on dates with these guys. Anyway besides that its all good. The management is pretty strict here, at least with the newbies, so you wont see many extras going on (we are not even allowed to sit on the customers laps while on the floor). Oh yeah one more complaint- we have schedules, which we set the week before, if you dont call in early enough you will not be able to get scheduled for most days out of the week, and I can never seem to get scheduled on thursday (when supposedly all the billionaires come in) no matter how early I call.
Other stuff: We have to do a showcase (costume) every day and they wont let you in if you dont have a costume for the night.
    No house fee
no tip rail, which sucks cuz people will sit at the tables right next to the stage and not tip. stage tips suck here for the most part, but they suck everywhere besides the body shop.
    5 dollar valet parking required.
the guards actually see who you leave with which means you cant leave with a customer, even if that customer is your friend or relative. i tried leaving with my friend one time and security stopped me
Oh yeah, this is a bikini club

    Here's my contribution:

    Spearmint Rhino Industry: Brothel
    Deja Vu Industry: Brothel
    Hawaii Theatre: Brothel
    Tropical Lei: Brothel
Ecstasy Theater, Santa Ana (OC): Brothel (can be)

yep... there are your 5 known/pretty well agreed upon brothels. there will always be extras girls at clubs, but those are the clubs you will probably want to avoid unless you're cool with sacrificing your dignity or reproductive health for money.

^ I totally agree with the info about the city of industry! I was a waitress at the daja vu there and you would not believe the amount of extras that go on! not to mention the girl on girl shows they do on stage, it is straight out porn... does anyone know of any places that aren't whore houses in san b or la?

Does anyone know much about Silver Rieghn (sp?)? I think its in Santa Monica. I know a chick who works there but I haven't heard much about the club on this site.
    Just wonderin'....

i saw an ad for the silverreign in Stilleto Magazine(its in west la, santa monica has no strip clubs) and they said they would pay you 300 bucks if you work 3 shifts, which probably shows how desperate they are for girls. ive only heard bad things about the silver reign (very extraish and trashy), but i have never been there.
the only clubs i know that arent brothels are plan b and 4play, but even in these places, if you are a billionaire the owner can hook it up, but at least the guys who look for hookers in these places are willing to pay more than the average junkie.

$300? seriously? I want $300... about Silver Reign, there is the one in West LA and another in North Hollywood. I've just been inside the West LA one (never worked or auditioned) and it was really small, but very upscale and fancy looking. I've heard some bad things about it too - extras and the like. but, if you're looking for hot clothes, a lady named Tani makes really great outfits and sells them there.

hey msonyxorb, have you worked at 4play?

I have a question about the plan b club, I took a look at their website and saw that it looked pretty sweet. I am thinking that I would like to work there but would love alil more info about this place, I noticed in the pictures that they had on there website that there were not any black girls, or at least any in the pictures that I looked at... Does this mean that this club really doesnt hire black girls? or is it that the black girls dont really last? I work well with older white and asian men for some reason they tend to love me, I always get that you are hot for being a black girl or you are not like alot of black girls that I meet... I dont like to hear that but at the same time if you are paying my bills I can stand to listen to it with a smile! lol please let me know what your exp. has been with that...

I've heard some bad things about it too - extras and the like. but, if you're looking for hot clothes, a lady named Tani makes really great outfits and sells them there.

hey msonyxorb, have you worked at 4play?
no. im thinking of doing amature night next week though. i am intimidated though because i hear the girls there dont like it when new girls join the team lol, at least that is what custies have told me. I work at the sister club- Plan B, so we get a lot of custies who go back and forth between the two clubs, and its the same owner so.... from what i heard prostitution does go on but you have to have a lot of money and know the owner and such, its not like a regular extras club where joe schmoe can walk in off the street and get a handjob for 40 bucks. also i hear its always packed in there, so thats kind of why i want to try it out.

I work at 4Play and to answer your question you don't always have to win to get hired, depending on the quality of the girls in the contest that night they sometimes hire more than just the ones who place top 3, but sometimes they don't even hire the 1st place girl. Don't be intimidated, we don't bite

I can add to the list fairly quick and give more info later.

Xposed/Wet Spot-Canoga Park-I heard there is still good $$$ at Xposed on weekends. But there are a lot of gang banger types. The Wet Spot is the full bar club next door. When i worked there it was OK. I stopped and went back a year later. Don't bother!! No $.

Classy Lady-Van Nuys- This is topless. Make $$ from regs and occasionally good weekend nights. You dance A LOT ON STAGE. The place is run down. Older dancers there can be bitchy, but I have never seen a fight really break out.

Fantasy Island- WLA-They make you stay 6 hours, but you can come when you want. House fee goes up every 2 hours. Have only worked day shift. I made $$ because I was new and off of regs. It's up to you.

Club 7557-Van Nuys- If you are Latina, on the thick side w/ good Spanish skills and a good hustler, you can easily make around $500 in a shift. It's bikini. Dances are $10 and are done out in the open. This club is DARK! I am not thick and I don't look Latin (though I am half) and I don't make $500 per shift but I do OK consistently. Not a lot of white girls stick this club out. There are only three others that have and they are all at least 20 lbs heavier than me. But if you have patience and skills $$ can be had. There are also a three Asian dancers who do well and a few black girls who do very well.

Sunny's Salon-Chatsworth- SMALL BIKINI BAR!! On nights where there are fights (as in boxing) $$ can be made. When I left it was stage only. I made a few regs. and made some $$. But seriouly, this place is very up and down. Oh, and some bitchy dancers work there too. They get threatened easily. Haven't been there in six months.

I'll try to post more later.

    Just wonderin'....
i know a dj there from when i worked sugarwalls in long beach (now closed). he said it sucked. but this was right after its opening... who knows, perhaps it got better. it's been through a history of transformations, though... which is usually not good.

does it matter if we are not the best dancer, or is it on looks alone that they hire you by?

From what I have seen they tend to hire based more on looks than anything else. That is usually how they judge the competition as well. The owner loves pretty blonds, so they tend to do very well.

I'm one of the features that the manager has hired to work both 4play and Plan B. I just want you to know they do have black girls working at both places, not many, but some, and those girls seem to do very well.
I'm black and they hired me as a feature, which means they pay me to come in and put on stage shows. I don't do lap dances, my personal choice, but the customers do tip me pretty well on stage.
If you're pretty, nice, and dance well, you will make pretty good money at either of these places.
Don't be imtimadated, just go make your money.

    Heres my 2cents
Body shop: Saw a girl fucking in LD room, and saw management give a girl blow.
Seventh Veil: If you can really hustle, and ignore the bitchy ghetto girls, its great. Also, all the rumors of 'rape charges' against a manager are BS
Crazy Girls: Good potential if you can hustle, but the russian bitches there are incredibly obnoxious and will basically give lapdances at the edge of the stage.
Classy Lady: where strippers go to die. Most of the girls are massively overweight, strech marks, some of the girls are toghether and fight constantly (on floor, in DR, where ever)
Valley Ball: Was great, dead now. Mgt is really nice.
Silver Reign Noho: Shit. plain and simple shit.
Silver Reign Santa Monica: Lots of hype from mgt for nada. was dead when I was there.
Bliss City of industry: Honest to god brothel. I complained to mgt that every single customer was asking me for VIPs, then asking if I had the condom or if they should go get one. Mgt said they know, sorry.

I auditioned there, from what I can understand it is hourly pay, but they fire girls left and right, and scheduling is very strict. I hate working on a schedule, so I decided not to work there. Seemed like decent clientele, and being so near the airport I would assume its good.
