    Default Hawaii Clubs

So i'm kind of new to the boards and I tried to search for what kind of info there was on the clubs in Hawaii out of curiosity cause thats where I have all of my experience dancing. Since the post that came up in the search weren't as descriptive as i thought they could be i thought I'd help out anyone who is looking at clubs in Hawaii with a little more info... Most clubs are used to girls visiting and working so Hawaii could be a great place for you to vacation while making some extra $$ on the side

Club 939: By far the classiest club... 3 stages w/ 4 20ft poles and the nicest dressing room (shower, tanning bed, huge vanity). Theres table dances ($20 a song you keep all of it) Drinks (you keep $10) private shows (starts at $30/song you keep half) The Champagne room when i left was no contact no dancing... you get half the money from the bottle which start at 300 up to 1100. Management is a little quirky... Very small asian guy named Stu... he will hit on you but is harmless. It gets busy in here esp. on the weekends, great clients, but some of the locals can get stingy cause it is the priciest club on the island.

Femme Nu: By far the busiest club... packed with the most customers on a night to night basis than any other on the island guaranteed. This place is where most of the tourists get sent from Waikiki cause it's really popular with the locals. No poles at this club, you pretty much roll around for dollars pulling your garter every few seconds. Sometimes on the weekend you can't even find a place on stage there are so many girls! Guys for sure spend money here even the locals. Drinks and Champagne you get half, the champagne room is seperate from the club which they do for legal reasons... if you know what i mean. They have private shows too i can't remember how much they are though. Management kicks ass here. His name is Tai and he's really cool.... like another girl said just don't cause drama and you'll fit in.

Rock Za: Another one that's popular on the weekends mostly, slower during the weekdays but there is always money. My first night there i got like 4 hours in the champagne room the next night i walked out with 20 bucks and switched clubs cause it just wasn't for me. The management is this little old asian lady who is wicked pushy. I mean she is on your ass at all times... which can always be a good thing. I've known girls that worked there and made really good money. Drinks and Champagne / VIP but there are no private show rooms... but they do give private dances off to the side i think? I can't remember. Mostly Stage tips and drinks. It's another one real close to waikiki so you get the tourists in there alot, but you also get locals as well.

Hawaii By Night: The club IN Waikiki. I've been in there twice before and it was pretty crazy... it's one small room with stage/s in the middle and private dance booths on the sides. It's and 18 and up for the clients at least from what i remember. It seemed really busy but really small. My friend worked as a promoter there and he said most girls were doing over 5 a night which wouldn't surprise me

Centerfolds: The 18 and up club! Ahhhhh Centerfolds... this is where i got my start as the wonderful dancer i've become. Wow, what to say about this club. You can definately make money here if you know how to hustle but i will say that this is also a club for extras. There are 3 mini clubs: the Crystal Palace which is where the bar is, 21 and up; The Wild Horse which is 18 and up.... yet also has a bar in it with private show rooms and that main showroom which is where the main private showrooms are. Here you make money off of hustling your private shows. a little bit off of drinks and stage, but guys go there for the private shows. Alot of girls there give a little somethin extra back there... sometimes not just a little. But if your under 21 you don't have too many options for work... i used to just have fun hustling the pervs : ). The management when i left was pretty strange... Big guy named Joe... will try to get you horney (jokingly?) there's definately some harder drugs going on at this joint and theft is a problem which i know all too well i "lost" a lot of stuff there. Oh yeah and they don't pay you here... you pay them $10 for each private show you do. At least thats how it was when i left. This is a strange place for sure.

Exotic Nights: Open till 4, most clubs only stay open untill 2. on weekends after 2 here it gets CRAZY. I've never worked here but I've been on quite a few occasions. no private shows only stage and drinks... I took my boyfriend there once and he kept getting this girl drinks... i found out later she was rubbing his cock under the table... it's a sketchy joint in a more industrial part of town... but the girls make $$ lots of stages.

Electros: All the way out in Pearl City but it has a really good local crowd there. I think cause they serve wicked awesome food. It's the best place to go if you don't want to go to town side. They have private shows there don't know how much... once again a place i've been a customer at frequently but never worked there. I will say though that there are lots of locals there who prefer the more exotic looking girls (aka not white)

So anyways, If I were just visiting I'd stick to 939 femme nu or rock za if you can help it. There are also a bunch of smaller dingy clubs like Club By Me, Club Sandy and Porkys (in Kailua) but they don't even seem to be worth the time.

Don't forget: you must get a Dancers Card from the liquer commission which you will need TB clearance for. Make sure you get hired at the club you want to work for first though cause each card is only valid for one club. Also, raids do happen in Hawaii by the liquer commission. They send in undercovers and there are certain rules which if broken you could get busted for prostitution. for example: if even a part of your hair touches a guys crotch - busted, if a guy slaps you on the ass - busted, if your nipple is showing when you get off a stage - busted. Crazy and unfair I know, but it's really really rare #1 to even get a raid and #2 get busted for something so small... but it does happen so just be careful!!!

I hope i helped you out if your looking for clubs in Hawaii if you have any questions I don't claim to know it all, but i'll be able to point you in the right direction for sure : ) Aloha!

The TB stuff I'm not so sure about, you may want to call the liquer commission to make sure you get the right info i'm sure you can look their number up online. As for hotels the Ala Moana hotel is a stones throw away but I think it's going to be a bit pricey. Also there's the Ilikai which is right down the street as well as another luxury hotel right next to it. Your best bet is to get a map of the hotels and find out which ones are closest to Ala Moana Shopping Center (Femme Nu is right next to it). Speaking of Ala Moana shopping center - be careful over there... They've got all the best stores! Neimans, Betsy Johnson, Dior, Luis Vitton... it's easy to spend a nights earnings there. As for the age thing, you will be so fine you don't even have to worry, there are a lot of experienced girls working there. This one lady who was well in her late thirtys probably did the best out of all of us. As long as your over 21 your good : ) Femme Nu really is a great club to work at just make sure you get there before 2010 or 2012?.. rummer has it Ala Moana is buying the lease from underneath them and they will have to shut down... which will be a shame since it is by far the most popular club on the island. The management is fabulous to work for. I'll be sad if Tai and his mom loose that place! It's been open and busy for over 20 years at least! Well I hope this helps

I go back and forth about wanting to dance in Hawaii. When I lived there, my friends and I were the ULTIMATE SC-Junkie-Gang. Our favorite club to go to was Rock-Za-- then Exotic Nights when it closed, hehehe. We saw some CRAZY things alright, LOL. Mahalo for the great thread, princessparis. Very informative.

No dances at Rock-Za - you can get "table dances" where the girls have a small personal stage and the guy sits in the chair for $20 each but its the same as what they get on the regular stage so no one does them.

I BANKED when I worked there.... made enough in 4 shifts to last me 8 weeks in Hawaii and get back to California....

The girl that got me into dancing worked there at Rock Za You could tell she was doing daaaammmn good there. It just wasn't for me, i didn't like that lady! lol, yeah but like i said, the first night i got champagne all night without even trying.... I don't quite know what happened the second night. It must have just been a weird night for me. I just went back to femme nu were i knew the ropes.... You know Audry you seriously kind of look familiar to me from your pic... maybe I saw you while you were visiting? Did you visit any of the other clubs while you were there?

As for august being a good season... well I don't know about anywhere else but everywhere i've worked in hawaii just keeps getting better after taxes... even through christmas! actually christmas time we do quite well out there. But when April 15th comes around we hurt..... big time

TB cards... I got mine for free at the windward community health clinic right next to windward community college, but if your visiting hawaii that will be well out of your way from any of the clubs... my best advice: call the liquer commission to see where you can get one that's close by.

Did i forget to mention that Femme nu, rock za, and the liquer commission are all on the same street? Kapiolani Blvd. And 939 and centerfolds are right off of Kapiolani on a perpendicular street... they're all in what could be called the "ala moana area" so i'd try to find a clinic for your TB card in that zone. you can walk to all four of the clubs from one another, but you might want to call a cab to the liquer commission.... it's pretty far down Kapiolani but still in the same area of town.

Another hotel you can check out is The Banyan Tree, it's right next to 939 and centerfolds. You might find it cheaper... but it's also only like a 3 or 2 star hotel. (but they do have a nice pool!)

There's also a GREAT 24 hour restraunt on the same street ( Ke'eamouku St.) Called The Like Like Diner. (pronounced Lee-Kay Lee-Kay, the Is sound like ee's lol people know your from out of town if you say it like: laike laike... just a friendly tip anyways, great food there) Also theres Sorabol which is a Korean spot open 24 hours right next door as well on Ke'eamouku... a little more pricey though.

OMG and it's so true, Exotic nights is so much fun to go to after hours... Some other popular clubs we'd go to after work (Sc's only stay open till 2 bars and NC's can stay open till 4) Lotus (upscale sport in Waikiki) Oceans (not so upscale in Waikiki) Venus (in alamoana) Karaoke bars like Lulu Ra-ra's ( they stay open till the sun comes up!!!) The one next to sorabol which i don't know the name of cause it's in korean (they have really good sushi there.) When i can think of more I'll hook it up

*sigh* I can't wait to get back to Hawaii!!!

Oh yeah, there are LOTS of high end condos on kapiolani and ala moana blvd is the street that parallels Kapiolani they have alot of (maybe even nicer?) condos on that street too- I never thought of that. I'd want to see pictures of the place to make sure though cause there are a few dives on kapiolani too. Not so many dives on Ala Moana Blvd. though. You'll probably want something on either of those two streets... depending on where along those streets you are you could probably walk to work... but definitely not back at the end of the night. the Ala Moana area has a lot of shady characters as night. Theres lots of bars in the neighborhood and Ala Moana beach park (which is a lot nicer than waikiki beach in my opinion) has a lot of homeless people living there. It's just not the safest place at night but during the day its OK.

Speaking of beaches... If you want to go to some of the beaches closer by in town I'd take a cab or the bus to some of the beaches down towards the end of Waikiki Beach (Diamond Head side) but the best beaches are going to be out side of town (you'd probably want to rent a car or get a ride) Like on the south side: Sandy's beach in Hawaii Kai, Makapu Beach in the far end of Waimanalo, Kailua beach in Kailua or any beach in North Shore.

Yes, almost all the strip clubs pay hourly. I usually got a nightly rate. At Femme Nu I was making $100 a night by the time i left as well as at 939, but all that is how well you can negotiate. At Rock Za they were paying me $80 and that was a raise from what I had made at Femme Nu previously which was $70 ($10 an hour). Centerfolds they do not pay you. you pay them for your dances and as for the other clubs I couldn't say.

As for taxes.... don't worry about it. Mostly no one else does out there. No club will even bring it up to you i can't imagine.

Hmmm Audrey... I was working at Femme Nu in 05 But I'll check your name... wonder what i might find? ; )

^What do you mean not worry about taxes? Do you get a weekly check or do they pay you in ca$h (hourly, whatever)? Are we still considered independent contractors over there? I hope so.

I may be looking seriously into this. I miss home, and I am thinking that it is now time for me to consider doing whatever it takes to get me back... and STAY where it is I truly belong.

Oh yeah, they pay cash. it's usually under the table. I guess that means we're independent contractors? I know most clubs will help you out by writing earning statements and putting you on pay roll if you want. but usually it's just plain old cash.

I know I can't wait to get back to the islands too Mily. Maybe I'll see you there? I don't know which one I'm going to work at it's always between 939 and Femme Nu... Class or Cash... I'm not quite sure just yet... all my friends are at 939 but the $$ at Femme Nu is just sooo good!

so is it easy to just walk in and get hired the same day?
or u need to call first?
and u need the TB card first before u even start?
i think maybe rentin a car is cheaper than takin a cab back and forth no matter how close u are to the club still u dont wanna walk with yr bag of shoes and makeup...
100 dollars a night paycheck...not bad..would pay for the condos rent if i stay there a month!
but how many hours minimum is the shift?
is there any money during dayshift or just at night?
    thanks again!xx

    ^^ Good questions...

Yeah it's reeeaaaallllyyy easy. They don't even have you audition. Well at least I've never heard of any club on the island doing that. Just go in and they'll tell you to get a liquer commission card (sometimes you have to get a hostess card as well as a dancer card) You have to show your tb clearance at the liquer commission in order to get your cards.

As for renting a car... taking a cab in the ala moana area will only cost 5-10$ and the condos may charge for parking, so be sure to get all the info from the condo and price renting a car before you commit to it... I can't quite see it being cheaper though... cabs are pretty damn cheap. A cab into waikiki from the alamoana area will be about 10$.... 15 if you go all the way to the end (diamond head side) You may want to think about renting a car just on the days you want to go exploring... there are car rental agencies in the alamoana / waikiki area so you won't have to go far to rent one.

As for hours, the usual hours are going to be from 7-2. The only clubs that has a day shift that i know of is Femme Nu and Electros. My girlfriend that worked days at Femme Nu made just as much as she did at night... but i can't say first hand how it is. 939 is almost always pretty dead until 10 on the weekdays lol, but they pay you to come in anyways : )

Thanks again, princessparis. I usually hear (and read on here-- I'm sure you've seen the threads) mostly negative things about working in HI. Plus, like I said... I have seen some CRAZY things myself (mostly at Exotic Nights, though)... so I have always been hesitant about working in the state. You honestly, truly like working there, LOL? BE HONEST NOW! Hehe.

Also... can you describe in detail how the hustle is over there? I am a very good hustler, but I am used to just selling dances. I've heard the hustle is VERY different. I cut down on my drinking at work, too, so when I sell drinks... do I have to drink, too, lol?

Another thing... how do the local girls do money-wise? I pass for a local wahine being half filipino and white. I've heard that only Haole girls do very well there because of all of the Japanese tourists that come to the island looking for 'The All-American Girl.'

hmmm... ok so when it comes to the money... I think the average (including your hourly) at he top 3 (939, femme nu and rock za) is about $300 on a weekday and $500 on a weekend... if you don't hit it big. If you can hustle really good you could probably make 5 on a weekday and 8 on a weekend esp. at femme nu. I watched girls there leave with 8 on a weekday!

It's easy not to drink at 939 but at femme nu and rock za it's really hard to get around especially in the champagne room. at 939 all you have to do is let the bartenders know not to put alcohol in your drinks and you can order whatever you want and it'll be virgin. You know how to play the game right? You say you want a jack and coke... but really it's just coke with a little water in it. any ways you can't really do that at the other two clubs. If you don't want the alcohol you can't say you do.... so you'd have to order just a coke... and the customers usually don't have a problem with that but some could give you a hard time. All clubs push drinks though. I don't know why, they just like you to sell them. They really really like you to sell them... why? i don't know.. i mean your making the club the same amount with dances... but for some reason they prefer you to get drinks! It's weird.

Haole (white) girls do not make more money... in fact it's pretty much the opposite. Even though they do like Haoles better, japanese tourists rarely spend $$.... maybe a bit on stage and a few dances but I've never even heard of any spending more than that! The local looking girls make way more. by far. The locals and the tourists seem to prefer local girls. But it all depends on how you look too you know? Like there's this bangin haole girl that i worked with that could beat out a bunch of local girls... but then there are a couple local girls who would be even more popular than her. So it really depends, but local girls just have more of a customer base. The kind of Haole girls that do well are the blonde, tan and beachy kind... the alternative types (like me) are not so much in demand, especially with the locals... But we get a lot of military in so that helps. In fact there are way more military in the clubs than there are tourists!! This is kind of a tough subject cause it's really only what i've observed, but trust me, you will not be at a disadvantage being brown skinned. Hapa is the best look to have in the club. Black girls have a harder time in Hawaii actually... why I don't know, i just know that they do. I think it's just cause there aren't too many black people in Hawaii and people go for the more local - beachy kind of girls. Once again... just what i've come across in my experience.

But all in all I loved working there... but then again I haven't danced anywhere else yet. I'm going to start dancing in Connecticut within the next 4 months after i give birth and heal up. But i'll be back dancin in Hawaii by April of next year : )

And btw, i really love helpin you girls out... Im living my stripper life vicariously through you guys right now so by all means ask away!

At Rock-Za you can choose to be paid cash nightly OR be put on a payroll where they actually tax your money and give you a W-2 (ONLY for your nightly pay - not for all money you made with drink comissions/tips)

I was hired at $100/shift (8 hours) but I later found out everyone has different pay rates and I was the highest paid at the club (at that time)

Haole (white) girls do not make more money... in fact it's pretty much the opposite. Thats funny because I noticed the opposite. It was a commodity to be blond and white - rather than dark skinned with dark hair. The little asian lady - the MEAN ONE!! lol... shuffled me around like some kind of prize - forcing guys to buy me drinks. My tip rail always had a guy at it and I was always easily selling drinks/bottles... without really trying. Along with the 2 other mainlander girls.

As for the whole white girl thing... you know each club really has different clients. But it'd be interesting to see what other girls that have danced in hawaii say about it though cause that's just what i've experienced.

But one thing is for sure: some nights haole girls make more and some nights local guys make more. It depends on what kind of guys are in and what their mood is like. The nights that they have the fights it seems to lean twards the locals... When RimPac (The navy fleets) is in town the haole girls get it. but as for which way it leans toward the most... I know what I've observed in my 4 years of dancing in hawaii, but then again thats just what i've observed, it may not be the case necissarily. And it's definitely not the whole story when it's just one persons experience. LOL but if it's being debated then i guess the difference between the two can't be that big right? So the answer is really that you'll just have to find out for yourself which skin color does better.

Either way though... it doesn't matter what color skin you have to dance in hawaii. Any-color skin that can't hustle is not going to do as good as any-color skin that can hustle. It's really all up to you

I remember locals telling me I had a "California Tan". When I inquired about this they said - you're tan but you have no tan lines (tanning beds) I thought that was interesting and looked around and a lot of the other girls had tan lines from bathing suits...

Hapa means 'half.' For instance, I am a 'Hapa-Haole'... being half asian and half white.

it's funny that your line-less tan was rewarded. i was reading about a gown-club stripper in the dotcom era who worked with girls who drew in tan lines with makeup to appeal to that customer base. interesting change in stripclub preference.
