Default Grey Hair Coverage= Sharpie Marker

So I get these Elle Alerts on my cellphone, lately they have been pretty lame but today one said-

"Got a few greys? Keep a Sharpie Marker on hand to scribble out rogue strands."

Wut? Wut? Has anyone tried this. I'm almost convinced I've seen a few greys, and who knows maybe a sharpie ~~~might~~~~work in a pink. Has anyone tried it?

WTF. I think this wouldn't be good because of the sheer amount of alcohol in the liquid.

Just get your roots done. I really don't think it's a good idea to use marker on your hair. If their is a lot of alcohol like SS said in the marker you are just going to over dry an already course hair. Doesn't sound good.

I did this once to cover my blond roots when I needed to go to work. It worked but...I wouldn't make a habit of it. For me it was either use the sharpie or look like I was balding. It also smells rank!

I would grab a mascara or get creative with an eyeliner before taking a sharpie to the roots... The most creative office supplies as beauty aid I've ever dared was a binder clip doubling as a hair clip.

I was thinking that maybe a dry shampoo with color would help you. I used one a while ago from Bumble and Bumble. It was called "hair powder" and comes in shades of: white, blondish, red, brown and black. This might help your problem temporarily.

Whatev. I'll admit to having used sharpies on scuffed boots/shoes and to 'paint' my nails as a teenager. And of course to write in big, bold, stinky letters! But fuck no not on your hair! If you've got enough greys that you're considering sharpie-ing your hair, buy a damn box of hair color. Less than $10 for most at-home and so many are designed especially w/ greying women in mind.

Those brows are frightening! Sharpie does make a good, lasting eyebrow, but I can't imagine it's good for you anywhere.
