So I'd been having knee pain, and when I trained MMA last week it buckled and gave out about 8 times. I've had chronic knee issues and so I went in. He was concerned I had a partial tear (knew right away it wasn't complete...I'd probably not be able to walk) of the ACL so I was supposed to break from activity (umm...I forgot that part) and he didn't want me dancing (I Do Not actually remember him saying this, but makes sense. I only worked one night anyways..no harm done).
MRI is done, and just saw him and it's NOT a tear. I have a mild ACL sprain, and degenerative menisci. I've known the second part for awhile. He also said it was quite interesting that I had a bone spur (seen on xray) on the top of my kneecap. So a few more days off of work...I'll continue to work out, but stay away from the knee. I see him in a month, if NO improvement we'll start thinking ultrasound and massage therapy. Sounds rough doesn't itOn the flip side, if it gets worse we may need to think injections....ewwwww
