Default how do you use new sales techniques?

i'm in kind of a rut lately, which isn't at all being helped by the dreaded "burn out". in fact, i'm sure they are working together like two little symbiotic monsters. so, i've decided to use some new tricks/techniques this week. some from sales books/websites and some from right here on good ole stripperweb.

most of my techniques have just kind of "developed" over time. sure, i've used a few cute "lines" i've read here and there.. or some simple tricks like nodding yes... but nothing drastic. most of my hustle evolved sort of organically, if that makes sense.

so what i'm asking is this:

when/if you have "decided" to use a few new methods, how did you go about it and how long did you give it? do you usually try a new technique here and there or have you changed your whole "hustle" at once? when you try something new, do you "keep at it" for a few days if it doesn't work right off the bat?

i do my best when confident (don't we all?) and i'm just worried that doing too much different at once is going to fuck with my confidence level because i won't be sure of myself.

of course with the slowness of the club + my burnout + my rut ... things aren't so spiff right now anyway. that's why i thought this would be a good time to rethink/change things. i mean, can't really hurt right now.

Practice it outside of work -- I'm not kidding. If it's a new line or new way of saying something you need to be totally comfortable saying it, you need to be confident and comfortable with it as much as you would be with saying "My name is Penny" or "I'm a redhead."

Also I think changing one thing at a time is best -- how else will you know what works and what doesn't? Try one new thing at a time and track results.

I have a list of notes I've taken from sales books I have read and DW, ect. Every night I go into work and I choose 3-5 to focus on. The more I practice, the more I start to do it without thinking.
