    Default Pet dilemma

Okay.. shit. So I've been wanting some ferrets. My husband used to have 2 so he's got experience but I didn't know anything about them. I've been reading about them and went to the pet store the other day to hold some for the first time and I fell in love. I've been looking on CL for some ferrets, and posted some ads. I don't have any good leads so far, but I was looking for a dog for a month or so before I found my perfect little Cora. So, I know.. patience is key.

So, I got on CL this morning for some more ferret searching and I run across this ad:

Oh my fucking goodness. How cute is that little lady? I showed my husband the ad, and you know how most men don't really say stuff is cute? The first thing he said was "oh my lord she's cute." I ended up being the first to email the lady so we kinda have dibs on her if we want her. We were talking about getting a cat before we talked about ferrets, so we do want a cat.

We may possibly be moving to Florida within the next year. We'll probably be buying a condo. My dog isn't too big and a cat won't take up too much room but we can't feasibly have a dog, cat, and ferrets.. So, do we get the kitten or some ferrets? I just want all these animls. I : them.

follow your heart. sounds like a cat may be a better idea for you right now, ferrets are higher maintenence as far as cleaning up after them, and ferret proofing your home.

if you have any specific ferret questions you can pm me.

"I would like a "re-homing" fee of $50. This will ensure a serious inquiry. You are in charge of shots and fixing her. When you do this I will give you your $50 back. "

Awww! So cute!!! Its up to you, but I think she is adorable.

The people with the kitten seem REALLY invested in finding a good home for her. Rehoming fee that you get back when she has her shots and is fixed..good for them!!

I think a kitten would be easier for you right now...plus...look at that little face!!! How could you not take her home???

We'll probably go with the kitten. She's adorable, and I was really impressed that the owner is just interested in finding a good home for her and we get the rehoming fee back after we get her shots and everything. I don't really care about getting money back, but it definetely shows they care about her.

If it falls through, we may still go with the ferret plan so I might be PMing you IBI

didn't you just get a dog??

be reasonable... just because an animal is cute doesn't mean it's right for you. i'm going through that right now.

awwww...let me tell you a story. I adopted a kitten just like that front the humane society. I named her Gracie. She looked just like that pic. She was a stray. Unfortunatly while she was in the 3 day stray quarintine from when I could bring her hoem, she got panleukopenia, which is like kitty parvo. she started to get sick the same day I brough her home. vbetsaid it was a reaction to her shots...she got worse and worse and I took her back the next day, I nver saw her again. She died at the vet. I was heartbroken over that.

I always wanted to get another one, she was the most awesome little kittne ever..but my hoem is full with animals now. I don't have any more room in my life or my heart for anymore.

But i' like you, would adopt the world if I could.

Yeah, we got the dog almost a month ago.. She's settled in nicely and I'm home all day during the day so I spend a crapload of time with her. If we're going to get any more animals, I think now is a good time to do it since I'm home a lot and can get the animal used to our house and our family.

The kitten will be 5 weeks old on Saturday so she won't be ready to come home with us for a few weeks but I'm going to go meet her on Saturday.

You'll love raggies. They just melt when you pick them up, hence the name. And the eyes are adorable!

    You picked a cutie!

OMG that has got to be the cutest kitten ever! I think a kitten would get along better w/ a puppy than ferrets would.
