We have both. The frame is still really nice, but it's about time to replace the mattress. No complaints! It's a decent looking set, too...doesn't look like it was intended for a college dorm room.

    I have this one:

Had it 3 months, love it. Great value. Bought a massive mattress elsewhere though.

Sultan (or something like that) mattress. It's fine, 5 years and it still looks and feels new. I'm sort of ghetto though...I will admit boys have complained. Frame is from IKEA as is section...no idea what it's called, but I dont like it.

I'm terrified of IKEA. All the stuff we've gotten from them, with the exception of two wicker chairs are unsteardy. I'm not sure about their bed frames though, as I've never owned one. That and we got the run around the last time we were there.

Even tho it come separately, I recommend getting the slatted bed base. We've had our bed/mattress set for over five years, and it shows very little signs of wear. We flip and roate the mattress every few months and make sure we keep the joints tightened to prevent squeaking.

I looked, but I don't see the mattress I have there. Wouldn't surprise me if it was discontinued, they do that a lot!

We actually have our entire bedroom done with Ikea stuff. We have the dressers (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70121249 and http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20067829) and the night stands (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/70141860). The only complaint we have is that the bottoms of the drawers aren't super sturdy, so I suggest reinforcing them.
is your mattress ikea as well? if so, which one is it?

I have these. I bought the bedroom set from the guy who owned my house before because it was only a year old. I have been using it for more than a month now and i like it a lot.

My bed frame is from Ikea, its similar to this one but in black.

    http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/S19849960

They don't have my actual one on the website for some reason. I've had it about a year and its still good but the slats come loose on one side if we have sex too vigorously and its a pain in the ass to lift the mattress up to slot them back in.

I got my mattress somewhere else.

^I love the Malm bed. But the mattress I got is way too thick for it and I wouldn't have been able to see the headboard.

The matching bed side tables are cool too.
