Since the recession has cut into my dancing profits, I have been focusing on my other businesses. How many other StripperWebbers have small businesses on the side?
This post isn't meant to be spam, as I have been a contributing member of SW for six years. Rather, I think in tough economic times we should all make a point to patronize members of our community (albeit an online community) before we patronize strangers and/or large corporate entities (the way it was before WalMart)
So I'll start:
I actually started two small businesses.
1. I took over 80% of Naked Assets. I restructured the curriculum and will be teaching an 8 week webinar course tentatively scheduled to begin in July. For Dancerwealth graduates and those who bought the home study course there will be a nominal $19.95 fee to attend. For new students, the Home Study Course Binder has been replaced with the online course. If you just started dancing in the last 3 years, you have never worked through a recession. I've gotten lots of personal emails about how to brush up on SuperStripper Skills: this is it!
2. I also started a travel company. Well, I didn't "start" it, but I am an independent representative for WorldVentures. I have been traveling more in the past year, and noticed that Orbitz/Expedia/Hotwire didn't give me a commission for booking on their site. Worldventures gives me a 5-15% commission back everytime someone books on my travel site. So if I can meet or beat the best advertised price on Orbitz/Expedia/Hotwire will you give me the commission instead of Bill Gates? http://www.destinationavalon.com
If you are a traveling dancer, you may benefit from the LTC package also. http://destinationavalon.worldventures.biz
I've been looking for a good stripper clothes/shoe store since Bridgette closed her doors. I have all the links, but I want to patronize a SWer, not a stranger. Anyone?
Who's next? Anyone sell Arbonne? MaryKay? PrePaid Legal? Anyone have an online store?
