I've recently become interested in the drug experiments on spiders.
Here is an informative video describing said experiments

I love the THC spider. Instead of building a web, it built a hammock where it would lay all day and watch the caffeine spider..lolz
OMG that was hilarious!! And I thought it was a serious experiment. Bwahahahahah
Lol!! that was sooo funny..

I was told about what was supposed to have been an actual experiment on potato bugs. It was done in a town in Washington where they had a big problem with a lot of the high school kids huffing gasoline fumes.
As you may not know, potato bugs can be quickly trained to travel clockwise or counter clockwise on a paper track in a Petri dish. To do this, you just push the potato bug gently with the eraser on a pencil. In about five minutes, they will walk only one direction on the racetrack, rather than randomly all over the dish.
Potato bugs returned to their habitat were marked with dots of nail polish on their carapaces.. The next day, they still traveled on the track, the same direction as they were trained the day before.
Up to this point, this is an often done experiment in elementary schools.
In THIS school, they then put a cotton ball soaked in gasoline in the habitat. (The habitat was a small plastic tub with moist soil, rocks, and a piece of apple or potato.)
The next day the potato bugs no longer knew which way to walk, nor did they move in normal potato bug random fashion. They moved in erratic and strange paths. And they could no longer be trained to walk in a direction on a track.
The gas huffing in that town dropped off to nothing.
The professor who told me about this experriment said he knew where it had been done, but had been sworn to secrecy because of fear of being charged with animal cruelty.

ahah I liked the little restraining order in the web. Thanks for the link, lol
LMAO Thats hilarious

this has been one of my favorite youtube videos for a long time!
Didn't they actually do those experiments though? I mean, obviously this is a f****** hilarious spoof on them...but I thought I heard about a study being done on the web patterns of spiders being affected by drugs...
Oh. UtahMike beat me to it.![]()

yeah they did. it's a spoof on the real thing.
