I think you need a primer or a setter. other girls can tell you better.
I notice it's better for me when I apply a foundation stick on my eyelid up to my
brow and then under my eye and then put on whatever makeup.
the makeup stays a lot longer without moving around, which I assume might be helpful to you since it's moving into your creases.
its just my undereye creases, the top lid is ok.
I know-- but put a foundation layer underneath your eyelid too (even if you're not wearing foundation on the rest of your face) to fill in the creases a little and "float" the eye makeup.
I think primer does the same thing-- provide a more even canvas to put makeup on-- but I'm cheap, so I tend to find other products which pretty much work the same way.
i have some mac coverstick, and i wear mac powder...maybe that will help.
I'd probably go with the coverstick because it will form a layer between your makeup and any skin oil. I doubt the powder would do anything because it would likely also get redistributed.
Probably the eyeliner you're using is too smudgy. Try using a different black eyeliner on the bottom. I use Maybelline unstoppable (twist tube) on the top but Maybelline Expert Eyes (red pencil) on the bottom.
Maybe switch to pencil smudge and then put liquid liner over. When I do liquid on the top I only do it at the very end over pencil so the line isn't so harsh. You can see in the picture she smudged black on the bottom and then put another solid line over it. Black shadow isn't dark enough to get the look she has.
Also, me personally, when I do eyeliner I fill in inside the lashes on the top but outside the lashes on the bottom. Sometimes brown instead of black if its day makeup. Don't know if that helps or not.

Since you're familiar with mac, this is what I would do.
(eyes first then face)
I would start by tightlining with a black eyeliner, like feline or engraved, then taking a neutral paintpot (like bare study or painterly from the crease up) to use underneath your highlight color (something maybe like crystal avalanche or even ricepaper depending on how much/little shimmer you would like) then use blackground paintpot or sharkskin shadestick all over your lid and lower lash area. Then I would take either black tied or carbon and just pat the color on over the black base that you have created, using a liner brush to go over the lower lash area kind of smudging/blending as I go along. Then I would clean up any fallout with a makeup remover wipe or brush, put on my foundation, and then a little bit of loose powder (or one of the natural mineralize skin finishes); paying close attention the the skin underneath my eye. Make sure that you put the loose powder/MSF/whatever over your foundation cleanly. Putting the foundation on after eyemakeup will also give you more control incase you made the liner too thick or w/e for your taste on the bottom lid because you can cover it/clean it up a little.
Hope that helped!

I hearts my eyeliner. I use Revlon's smudgeproof eyeliner and a bit of MAC's Carbon over it. I find that liquid smudges all over and MAC eyeliner does nothing for me. Sometimes I do have to blot a little in the oily spots and reapply. But only on very oily days.

I love that look and I wish it looked good on me, but I have no cheekbones or browbones so I just look weird.
