Default How to work out BEFORE work

I want to hit the gym before I go to work, because I usually work late.Since I am always practicing pole tricks that demand a good grip and upper-body strength and control(core muscles too),what kind of exercises can I do at the gym that will "warm me up" for the pole and the floor, without exhausting me to the point of being unable to safely work on my routine?

Hmmm...I would like to know this too. I typically just do some stretching before work so I don't tire myself out. However I would love some more ideas.

I was thinking about this too. Not so much the pole part but how to work out and then still have the stamina to do 8 hours of work...

How long are your stage sets? How many pole tricks to you do? Do you climb, invert, do spinning tricks? How many times a night are you on stage? DO your quads ever get sore from lap dances?

What do you do when you work out? How much is cardio? DO you lift weights? Do you do high reps/low weight or low reps with high weight? DO you work each muscle group to exhaustion?

well the pole works mostly my shoulders, upper back, and arms. so i would suggest some off these: DB shoulder press, side raises, cable upright rows, rear DB raise, pullups, lateral pulldowns, seated row, DB one arm row, DB bicep curl, tricep pressdown, tricep dip, preacher curl. and for your core pushups, incline situps, and crunches. id do strength training on my work days because im usually sore the next day. however i was usually a little tired after my workout. so depending on how your body reacts to the workout you might have to figure out if youd rather be tired or sore at work. i will not do any polework if im sore and exhausted. i dont want to risk injury. then again i know plenty of girls who dont care and even more that do polework drunk or drugged up. so its entirely up to you. for strength training i usually did 10reps 4sets. remember toBREATH and lift SLOWLY. you need to get oxygen to the tissue and lifting slowly gives you a better workout. stretching before and after helps ALOT with soreness. drinking PLENTY of water helps (obviously with tissue hydration and) with feeling fatigued. and REST REST REST is sooooo important. you dont want to be weight lifting if you are exhausted. your workout will not be as effective and you will be more likely to injure yourself. good luck! have a good workout

oh yeah, and obviously any strength training or endurance lifting will leave you sore and tired. if you are just looking for a muscle warmup (in addition to stretching) i would suggesting lifting light weights for 8-10 reps and 2-4 sets. for example doing 8 reps of a DB shoulder press with 5lbs for 2 sets. of course the weight would depend on what you can lift comfortably.

I always work out before work but then again I usually get tired 5 hours into the night, probably because I don't eat anything at work... so make sure to bring some food to keep you going.
