    Exclamation Fucked Up My Shoulder/Back

    I fucked up my shoulder and the left side of my back doing a pole trick last Sunday. I went to the doctors on Thursday and he told me not to do any "athletic activity" (lol) until Monday at the very least, and only if I wasn't in pain. Well, it's Saturday and I am hurting for money... I need to work tonight but I'm kinda confused on what I should do on stage if I can't do pole dancing... that's kinda my thing... I wish I had more of a safety net because I really don't want to work tonight and possibly make this injury much worse. I woke up this morning and it feels worse because I was picking up the baby last night... should I give myself another day or just try and be extremely careful at work? I'm worried about money, but it'd be more money to seriously fuck up my back I'm sure!

    (Also, the only high heels I have are fucking huge heels and that'll probably also kill my back I'm worried. My order of 4" heels haven't come in yet lol.)

    Do not work tonight. like you said, rehabing a serious back injury is far more expensive then a night off from work. Take a bath in ACV and epsom salts and relax!

    Don't hurt yourself worse! If you do feel well enough to go to work, take it easy. You don't have to do pole tricks, you can just walk around and shake your ass! I've never worked in a club where all the girls do pole tricks. In fact, maybe you can pay to skip stage sets and just work VIP, so you can make your money, but don't have to stress about performing.

    If you need the money in the worse way then go in. Wear your shoes but take them off for dances. Try to get out of stage rotation if you can, or rotate one on then take the next set off. Just bend over, get on your knees. Etc.
    My game was largely pole until I got my boobs done. After that I was worried but you'll think of lots of things to do without using the pole..or using it minimally. Just for graceful turns...and sloooooow down. Slow is sexy.

    I ended up taking the night off. I feel kinda ashamed but I'm trying not to be too upset with myself. I hope I made the right decision, but I do feel a lot safer staying home for one more night. It was starting to hurt when I breath in again, and that can't be a good sign!

    I went through all the motions of getting ready for work but when the time came I was about in tears from pain, so yeah, hopefully another night of bed rest and I'll be good to go tomorrow. Just absolutely no pole dancing lol.
