Default Looking for help!! Where to dance in NC/SC?

    Hello,

I'm a dancer from Charlotte, NC, and the clubs here are all at the point where they are so unprofitable even the biggest ones have stopped charging tipouts. I'm determined to keep dancing, but I have wasted a lot of time/gas/energy already looking at different clubs. Greensboro and most of the surrounding big cities are freaking out about alcohol restrictions and not hiring, or they are overwhelmed with too many new dancers. I'm going to travel this week everywhere I can think of. Can someone suggest a city within a few hours' drive that would be profitable to go dance at and isn't totally ruined by corona?

So far on my list to try is
    Winston-Salem
    Mooresville
    Hickory
    Wilmington
    Charleston
    Myrtle Beach
    Atlanta

(I KNOW that atlanta is good money, but im not in a position rn to pay it forward on a dance license, so that's why it's at the bottom... and I've heard myrtle beach can be kinda raunchy with lots of extras going on so I'm scared to go there as well. if anyone has any advice please let me know!)

Durham, NC - all the clubs are closed.
Raleigh, NC - TMC and Cap Cab are open, but not too busy. The girls with regulars are doing alright, but not great. Don't know how new girls make it.

    JUNE 2021:

For OP and anyone else lurking this thread,

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME COMING TO WINSTON-SALEM, NC!!!! Deadass! This isn't to shoo you away nor anything like that, but there are two main clubs here (Savannah's and Filly's) and there is a small divey urban joint called 34 Kisses (which I don't think it is worth checking out imho). Savannah's will shoo you away and will tell you they aren't hiring if you are darker than a paper bag and they will tell you that they are full of dancers due to the pandemic. As for Filly's, I went to go audition on Father's Day weekend (their auditions are on Sundays at 8pm and there were MAD girls working and auditioning there. Like MAD girls, fam. Since it was early and I didn't stick around for long, there were so little customers and way too many freaking girls. The customer and dancer ratio was way off!!! I did hear it did picked up later on that night. Anyways, the manager who had hired me on that Sunday had quit the following day. When I went back to Filly's on the following Tuesday for the dayshift, the dayshift manager had informed me that the manager who had hired me had quit on the previous day and that she was full for the day shift. However, she did tell me to come back later that evening. I did that and then the nighttime manager told me that he was full for the night and that he will keep in touch with me if there's an openings. -_- like tf? It sounds like they don't have their shit together. I wouldn't waste time nor money to come all the way out here. This area isn't lucrative for this line of work anyway. The people here don't have the means and not much isn't happening here (unless it's like RiverRun Film Festival or National Black Theatre Festival; two big local events in WS). I am looking to leave for Vegas or somewhere the people got money. I can't speak for the rest of the state, but I heard the majority of clubs in Greensboro are dead/shut down. Treasure Club is open, but I heard it is dead. Maybe try Myrtle Beach? I don't know. But this is Winston-Salem as of June 2021. This place sucks.
