Good call on Fire! It's deffo my fave Ferry Corsten song, but I prefer to save it off for home usage, but once in a while it's fun to dance to.

Temperature though just makes me giggle my ass off thanks to the Misheard Lyrics vid.

You might like 'Slide In' and "Ride a White Horse', those are my current favorite Goldfrapp tracks.

Also, if you cue in 'The Supreme Illusion' Thievery Corp at just before one minute in, it is usable in the club, unless maybe it's midnight on friday night, lol. 'Angels' is fucking hot if a bit slower, good to kick off or wind up the night with.

I need to check out that prodigy track, i have always been a big fan of theirs.

*Expiraments* Good call on Supreme Illusion! Pardon me as I run off, do a lil splice 'n' dice on that sucka!

There's just a certain sort of je ne sais quas to Lebanese Blonde for me though. I mean, there's a hell of a lot of TC songs I'd love to do on stage, but overall the majority are too worldish, too short, or too funky for this white girl to pull off without looking utterly rediculous. I'd especially love to do Mathar, Vai Vai, Lagos Communique, or Richest Man In Babalon, but none of them would ever work.

Ijust have a special sort of place in my heart for really chill music, I think cause I need something to ballance out the punk and emo stuff.

For the record, Lebanese Blonde is actually fantastic to listen to when high, lol.

I dance to "Lebanese Blonde" a lot too myself. In L.A. I did it a few times in a bellydancer outfit (one of those little cheap tie-ons with the fake coins all over it that you can get on Hollywood Blvd. for $15) and it went over well! I wanted to do it barefoot but the manager wouldn't let me.

I love TC, but yeah, you have to be careful which ones you use in the club, and when. Don't forget that chill music is great for the end of the night, if you are last or next to last onstage, or maybe at the beginning of the night in some clubs.

But this notion that white people can't dance to funky stuff disturbs me. I have never noticed any intrinsic superiority of black women dancing to funky music. "Free your mind...", like the quote says.

I dunno, I love Stevie Wonder with a fucking passion along with P. Funk and Earth, Wind, and Fire, but I am pretty damned sure I couldn't get away with it somehow. I'm a believer in "looking the part" in regards to music and I simply do not look funkadelic. I can look chilltastic and Thievery Corpish, but as freeing my mind as much as possible, I still lack the proper training to pull off funk music.

I wonder if they have old episodes of Soul Train on Youtube...that could help. *Runs off to look*

BTW Corgan, I'm afraid of your boots, lol.

I guess for me it changes often. I am pretty willing to go with whatever helps get the crowd worked up because I always do better when I can play off the crowd. That is why I am learning to like letting the DJ pick our music. I am the first to admit I am NOT an awesome stage dancer. However if I can dance to music that I like and makes me feel sexy I think I look more confident on stage which equals more $$$.

So for right now I'll say...

    For slower times:
    Wicked Games ~ H.I.M
Dead and Bloated ~ Stone Temple Pilots
Rev 22 20 ~ Puscifer (which I never get to hear anymore )

For when the club is high energy:
    Destroyer ~ Static-X
Killing In The Name ~ Rage Against the Machine
    Feel Good Inc ~ Gorillaz

I also love pretty much anything from the Queen of the Damned Soundtrack at anytime .
