Only $20s....and about $50 in ones taped under a drawer.
Glad for you though, enjoy some of that & then put the rest in savings.
500... thats great!
most i ever found was 40 bucks in the back pocket of some jeans I'd worn a couple of weeks b4.lol.

I found like 300 dollars in ones I had put in an old cosmetics bag that I was gonna take to the bank. I forgot about it and later when I was cleaning up I put the bag at the top of the closet. I found it 3 months later.
Well, it was not forgottenmoney but a forgotten account in a Savings and Loan. This was 17 years ago.
When my mother died, I was the personal representative for her estate. The lawyer told me to go to a local Savings and Loan and close out her accounts there, because that company was about to go under.
So I trotted down there with all the documents to close out her two accounts.
The teller looked over the paperwork, went away, came back, and said, "What about her third account?"
"What other account?"
"The passbook account. It's a joint account in the name of [Names changed here] UtahMike, Judy Jones, and Jimmy Jones."
"Well, UtahMike is me. Jimmy Jones was my stepfather and he died eight years ago. Judy Jones was my mother and she died last month. "
"Then as the surviving account holder, the money in it is yours. Good thing you came in today, too, because that account has been inactive for five years, and next week, the state was going to take it over."
"Oh, wow. I want to close out that account, but separate from the other two which go into the estate. Uh, how much is in it?"
"$!!,650."
I did my best not to grin. I know I should have done something sensible with the money, but I went out and bought a new car for cash.
So, Joplin, I am happy for you and know how you felt when you found the money. Go ahead and jump up and down, you lucky girl!

I have done this with stacks of $1's many times. Throw them in a crown royal bag, Shure mic bag, anything, and then forget til I find them later. The most ever for me was 400-something. I used to wear suits to work all the time, and I had this really nice worsted wool one. Well, it got too hot out to wear it and I hung it in the closet. I pulled it out when it got colder and was going to take it to the dry cleaners and did the quick pocket pat, like you do. Voila...over 400 (in big bills) in the inside jacket pocket. And I had never missed it!
waffles are just pancakes with little squares on them.

My husband just found $4 in a shirt pocket today! YAY! We're broke till the 1st, so its to scrounge up some veggies to cook till then. A couple days ago, we found a scratch-lotto ticket worth $3 which was pretty cool, too.
I really don't think I've ever misplaced anything over $50 cash. Only a couple 20's here and there. In Guam, I'd always find extra chips ($10-$25) in make-up bags and stuff and have to beg the club to let me cash them in the next day. That was kind of lame.
Congrats, Joplin! This has got to be a sign to NOT go back to work till your ready.

I do that all the time. I decide I should save fifty or a hundred dollars a night, seperate from my normal stashes, and then after two or three nights I forget about it. When I moved out of the bus I found $700 in three different stashes. And two of them were in my underwear drawer.
^^LOL
I wish I could find a stash of money today....hmmm maybe I'll take a closer look around. I think the largest sum of money I've ever recovered from a far away place was about $100.

I used to hide money in clothes hanging in my closet. Most of the time, I remember it's there and spend it eventually, but I've had a few nice surprises putting on a coat with a wad of cash in the pocket.![]()

Shirt I gotta start stashing money away like this. Finding it sounds like so much fun!
Good for you!! Finding money is awesome!!
I think the most I ever found was like $300 or something. No matter what amount--it could be $3 or $300--I always get super excited when I find money I didn't think I had!!
a one hundred dollar bill in jeans.
Almost $300 in an old Chanel wallet box thing. I hadn't been dancing very regularly, so I decided to hide it from myself at some point... I was so excited, hehe.

i wish i could hide money from myself!

^^^ The look on her face was probably even betterCongrats on the money!!
I have never found a large sum of cash around but one time I realized I made an error in my check book and I was up about two hundred dollars!! Pretty cool![]()
