    Default Jalapenos

    So quick cooking question:

I'm making this stuffed jalapeno recipe, and it says to take the seeds/membrane out of the jalapenos. Isn't all the heat of the pepper in the seeds? I don't want to cry after eating these, but I want some kick. So I'm just wondering if I should leave them in there, cuz I don't want them to taste like bell peppers. Anyone know if the rest of the jalapeno is spicy at all?

yes, the rest of it is spicy too. I would just leave the seeds in, because i like spicy food too and jalapenos aren't tongue numbingly spicy on their own.

and don't touch your face or any other delicate skin after cutting and handling them because the oils will BURN!

but... since it's stuffed peppers, taking out the membranes/some seeds might make it easier to stuff them.

I'd leave it in. Your a texas girl right? You can handle it. Maybe take half out but a jalopeno with NO seeds...it taste like a jalo but NO kick, bleh.

even without the seeds it still has spicy-ness but not as much. Could you de-seed it and put some into whatever you're stuffing them with?

And yes .... I've made the mistake before ... do NOT touch your face or eyes, even for a second.

^ or your vag or bf's junk. i accidentally started fooling around w/ my boyfriend after cooking with peppers (even though i washed my hands thoroughly, that stuff PERMEATES your skin) and ... he was not pleased. luckily we realized what was going on before any of that burningness got into my area.. lol.

haha, i also had a bad pepper incident with my boyfriend. I had eaten a jalepeno maybe 2 hours beforehand, went up to bed brushed my teeth and i ended up giving oral. well like a minute into it he made me stop cause his said he was burning. anyways it took me till the next day to factor in that the jalepeno caused it. duh!

One time after dinner (where we had jalapenos) E ended up giving me oral that night. Well he started, but then I was in tears. What a horrid thing.
On another note one day he ate jalepeno chips and later had the idea to take care of things himself. His girlfriend at the time came home to him crying with his cock out being blown on by a fan LOL

I've never had any issues with jalo's. My boyfriend and I eat them on EVERYTHING too. I'm not being dramatic. I wonder if we've just become immune or have really tough skin or something. Weird!

The heat is in the ribs/membranes. Not the seeds. But the body does have flavor to it too. Removing the ribs just lessens the bite a little.
