    Default This is a first

I was at a club a couple of days ago, and went up to a dancer and asked for a dance. She said she could use a drink and when i was ordering one another guy came up and asked her for a dance. She said sure and left me standing there.

I was left a little confused and thought what just happened. I figure her customer relations will catch up with her, but it still bugs me.

I'd say it was a regular. Still, it was unbelievably rude. She could also just be one of those girls. Every club seems to have a few that aren't too bright or are always toasted.

Sorry this happened. She should have told him that she would come and get him when you guys were done.

Yeah thats VERY rude. I would NEVER do that(unless the guy maybe had been REALLY rude somehow while he was ordering the drink). I'd have told the reg to give me just a moment. If he was short on time,I still would have told you that I had to dance for him but I'd be right back and apologize for leaving you.

But some people just arent that bright.

I would say that she is just an idiot. If a customer asks me for a dance, unless I get a real creepy vibe, I always say yes and go back right away and maybe get a drink afterwards.

I think it's a little weird that a customer came up to her when she was with you. My regulars might say hi to me real quick when I'm sitting with someone but walk on and wait for me to finish with the customer I'm with.

Yeah. She might have been interpreting you wrong or the guy was someone from earlier in the night who had spent a lot and she went with the "sure thing". But seriously...if he was just another customer, what I usually do is use it to my advantage. Tell the new interested party that I"m busy and will find him when and if I'm available and then use that as a "I"m in high demand" part of my hustle for the guy I'm currently sitting with. It's a win win. IF I get the drink, talk for a minute and get no dance, then I go to the other guy and still get my dances with him.

Are you sure you were clear that you were asking for a dance? I only ask because I've had customers that hint and hint that they're going to want a dance, or say they "might like a dance" after my next set, etc. In that case, if someone else comes up and straight up asks for a dance right then and there, I would take it. If I'm not sure the other guy is really serious and we haven't finalized dance plans, I don't want to risk losing the guy who def. wants a dance to check in on the guy who may or may not want a dance. It's pissed some people off, but hey, 1 hen in the hand is worth 2 in the bush, right?

Rude. If it was a regular she could have asked him to wait even if he had an appointment.

Regulars know that if a girl is dancing for someone she just met--there could be no time limit and most will wait.

Unless he was a temperamental regular who happens to pay well...that's your answer.

Or she was just a moron, too drunk, too high, etc all of the above.
