Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

I answered 30 minutes to 1 hour, cos Ive gotten into the horrible habit of reading myself to sleep. I have to be dozing off then turn my palmpilot off and go to sleep. If I just try and turn the light off I could be laying there for hours.
I also have a bad habit of waking up after 2 or so hours of sleep and not being able to get BACK to sleep.
Theres no sense crying over every mistake,
you just keep on trying till you run out of cake

i SO envy those of you in the 0-15 minute range.. and even those of you in the 15-30 range.
i'm 30-an hour .......sometimes longer but rarely shorter. i just thinkthinkthinkthinkthink.

I chose 15-30 but it really does depend on how tired I am when I try to go to sleep. Sometimes I fall asleep immediately, like last night pretty much as soon as my head hit the pillow. So I picked 15-30 as an average.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
They say it takes the average person 7 minutes to fall asleep. It takes me longer. It takes my SO about 30 seconds!!!! Lucky him! Some nights I lie awake for hours when I can't turn my head off. It can be really frustrating!
I have trouble after work falling right to sleep, my mind is usually racing replaying my night and I'm usually starving and wanting to sit on the internet an hour or two. But if I go to bed when I'm actually tired I fall right to sleep.
Tonights a great example of why I shouldn't go to bed when I'm not tired. I layed in bed for 2 hrs worrying about bills, my to do list, the 4th of July, etc. Next thing I know I'm eating a frozen pizza on Stripperweb. If I woulda tired myself out first I'd be asleep by now.

Takes me about 15-20 minutes usually, but I have a 6 month old and seem to be always tired...(sigh)

I usually read until I'm so tired that I can't hold the book, or keep my eyes open or I just pass out with the light on. If I'm not asleep within 15 minutes of putting the book down, I turn the light back on and keep reading.

I've been so lucky with this. I can fall asleep damn near anywhere at everytime, though I've been stuck on 3rd shift lately and it's hard for me to stay asleep during the day.
Instantly most days. Sometimes I wake up and wonder if I even got to shut my eyes before I fell asleep or not, lol.
To those who take over 15 minutes, what do all of you do n that time it takes to fall asleep?
It's hard for me to vote. If I lay down in the afternoon for a nap I can usually fall asleep in 15 minutes. When I try to go to bed at night, it often takes an hour or more. My body just wants to sleep in the afternoon more.

When I am not having a major insomnia issue, about an hour, sometimes up to 2.

Marasmus says, "Oh no, that wasn't gas, it was merely a rectal chuckle."
Marek says, "A friend of mine got punched in the face by a dominatrix stripper about two weeks ago and I thought of you."
15- 30 if nothing is going on in my head. Staying asleep is a fucker if I've got something on the brain. Days like that I love dyphenhydramine. And i sleep with a sock over my eyes and I have a round/long pillow that i hug to my boobs.
Oh yeah. That's when I envy stupid people. They worry about nothing.
