    Default Breast Lump- scared

SO at 31 years of age I finally grow boobs, it's like God gave me a boobjob. I'm so happy they look so nice.

As luck would have it, I felt a lump on the top side middle of my left breast. It feels gross, I can't tell if it hurts or not because my breasts are tender and sore anyway.

I'm going to make a Dr. appt first thing Monday morning but I'm just so scared.

Please pray it's nothing serious and they won't have to cut me open and leave me scarred or worse.

    Thank you so much.

Did the removal leave a bad scar?

No, I didn't/don't have a bad scar... My Dr was young, I was young, and without asking, he told me he would give me, what he called, the Go Go Dancer cut...LOL

He cut around the edge of the aerola, {maybe 1 1/2-2"} and was able to get to my lump that way... It wasn't a big deal at all. I had steri strips, instead of stitches too! There is a faint scar, but honestly, no one can tell {or could tell} unless I pointed it out..

I'd ask about doing it that way..

Just stay positive, and think good thoughts. Do all you can to keep the negitive out. I know that's easy for me to say.. I remember well what I went thru.. I'm sending prayers and good thoughts your way, to help you keep positive!

For one. Congratulations on being on top of your body! A lot of people don't check themselves out and miss lumps so thank you for being responsible with your body.

I agree to stay positive. A vast majority of lumps end up being nothing anyway. I had a lump a few years ago and it was simply due to a change of hormones. Good luck!

Uh, unless she went at that bush with a jar of shoe polish, she doesn't look much like a natural blonde to me!

Thank you so much ladies I've never needed SW support more than now.

The only thing keeping me sane til I get to Dr is the Xanax bars I got today...........

I'm trying to stay positive yet realistic.

I have two great fears...1: cancer, 2: lump needing removal and leaving scar on my new beautiful boobs that grew naturally at 31!

Love you all, thank you so much for positivity!!!!

If it hurts, or your breasts are tender it might be a cyst. Are you due for your period? I used to get cysts around that time of the month and had to get checked as well.
It turned out to be a cyst that comes and goes during the cycle.

You may have a "fibro adenoma" which is a cyst that is non cancerous.
I have one, it has been in place for years. It has grown and now will cause
    cosmetic damage to remove it.
If you have one take it out asap because it can grow to the size of a golf ball.
They are not necessarily circular and can be a lumpy type mass.
I had a mammagram and was diagnosed to have a benign tumor.
Good luck and sometimes the fibro adenoma's dissolve on their own.
Chocolate and caffeine are NO NO's if you have this condition.

Thank you for your input. I just made an appt with a Dr. for Thurs at 2pm; my only concerns now are that my Mom wants to go and "help me fill out paperwork" so I can't put certain extracurriculars that I'd prefer to be honest about on the paperwork. I think it's imperative to tell doctors everything about my health. I guess I should probably call her soon before the appt and tell her they just scheduled me in due to a cancellation. I hate to lie to her but she is my main employer as well as my mother.

I'm just happy I got an appt so soon because I'm really nervous about this.
    Something is definitely not right.

Thank you all for your input, it made it so much more apparent to me that I see a Dr right away and I got the soonest appt I could.

Please wish me luck; I'll handle whatever comes my way.

Its probably just a minor fibro adenoma they go from the size of a marble to a golf ball, and one doctor told me they can exceed over that size as well.
If I take mine out I will have to get implants put in or get a fat transfer or something to fill it in, because at this point its going to leave me disfigured.
I've been reasearching implants for a long time now, and trust me its an unecessary headache, I dont know how women just do it so easily.
Finding the doctor alone is TOUGH, for me anyway.
    Good luck keep us posted
