Whats your favorite bbq sauce? I am going to make a veggie meatloaf and I want to buy a good sauce to go over it. I have tried Kraft brand and I really didn't like it. So something that doesn't taste like that would be goodThanks!

Sweet Baby Rays

I like the Jack Daniels BBQ sauce.

Awesome! I know I am going to come out of the store with a few bottles hehe
Make your own! It's super-easy. There's tons of recipes out there but almost everything is good in BBQ sauce.
fourth'ed!!!!!!!
Fuck Kraft, KC Masterpiece, and all the other nasty brand-name sauces. You gotta go for the off-the-wall weird names.
Sweet Baby Ray's is insanely good. So is Tabasco's BBQ sauces (although spicy, not sure if you want spicy)
Me, my husband, and all our friends are big fans of the Hillbilly Creek line of condiments. They make amazing BBQ sauces, amongst other things. If your interested, go to

I did think about that but there were to many choices. I get overwhelmed too easily lol I hate choices.

Do you have a recipe that you like, Yek?
Not really, because everything's good in BBQ sauce! Start with onions and garlic sauteed in olive oil, and then add chopped tomatoes or canned tomato sauce and then just start kicking it up with whatever you think will be good. I read where one woman put leftover baked peaches in hers; I've had good luck with everything from cinnamon to sriracha to apple juice. It just needs to simmer for a few hours, if not all day. One thing I do always add is a little dribble of Liquid Smoke. Gives it a really yummy smoky flavor. I always put a little honey in it too.
Just open your fridge and your pantry and throw in a little bit of everything! You can make huge jars of it and keep them in the fridge for a year or more. My ex-FIL used to make a huge batch of BBQ sauce once or twice a year and give us one of those huge plastic bottles that apple juice comes in, full of BBQ sauce. It would last us for several months and it just gets better while it sits there.

Even with the silly name, Bone Suckin' Sauce is awesome. Added bonus: No high fructose corn syrup!

Because there ain't no tits on the radio

I went to the store today and bought Sweet Baby Rays(buy one get one free!), Texas somethingorother that didn't have high fructose corn syrup b/c I despise the stuff. I also bought all the ingredients to make my own. So, in case the stuff I make tastes like ass I have backup. Thanks for your input!

I'm cooking mine right now, its alright. I opened the sweet baby rays to compare what mine tasted like to it. Woah! That stuff is good! My boyfriend tried it and said that is what bbq sauce is supposed to taste like! Thanks again for the recommendation
ETA: I added more brown sugar and smoke to my sauce and it is now fabulous!
Awesome! Just let it simmer uncovered for a few hours, a nice low simmer and stir it every few minutes. It'll get nice and thick. Then let it come to room temperature before you pour into a jar and put it in the fridge... by tomorrow, you'll have amazing homemade BBQ sauce!

^^ oops I didn't realize it was supposed to cook for that long. I'm going to go put it back on the stove...
You don't HAVE to let it simmer for a long time, it just tastes a lot better if you do. Just keep it on low and make sure it barely simmers, just a few tiny bubbles in the middle. You don't want to burn it and all that sugar will burn if you're not careful. So stir it often and keep an eye on it. It'll get darker and thicker, which is a good thing!

You were right, it keeps getting better!! OMG I can not stop eating it. Everyone seriously needs to make homemade bbq sauce. It is so yummy! I hope my meatloaf turns out as well.
I'm so happy! It's silly but I'm actually grinning over here. I love to see people making their own food from scratch and enjoying it! End the corporate destruction of food and family, and save the planet by not using up packaging!![]()

Wooo go Yek!You're my idol, ok? I didn't make nearly enough, I have about a cup left
I'll have to start making more
Enjoy! I'm so glad I could help!
