i use a toothbrush and dish soap....

didnt someone say to put them in the diswasher? i would like that confirmed or denied as i think in a few days i m gonna stick em in and see what happens.

That's what I do too. I try not to use to much water. Usually apply dishsoap to toothbrush and scrub. Once I get a good scrub in, then I cut on water and run my hand through. Sometimes I use a little bleach scrub, let sit 5min then rinse out again. I let them dry in the sunlight...then they are good.

Thanks!
the biggest problem with the dishwasher theory on clear shoes is the water will get trapped in the platform and start growing mold and or a foggyness to them.

How often do you all clean your shoes? I've just been wiping mine down with baby wipes every time I work and spraying them with foot spray.
I tend to be sort of rough on my shoes so I have to buy new ones fairly often.

I would strongly advise against the dishwasher!! It ruined a pair of my shoes. After two or three times in the dishwasher it totally degraded the glue and the soft pad of my shoe just ripped right off the plastic bottom. In the middle of a shift! Fuck that.
I say toothbrush and dish soap. Wiping down regularly with a baby wipe is a great idea. I'm going to start that.
Good post....i just used dishwashing soap and bleach with warm water, a toothbrush and an old sponge and my shoes look new.

I always have baby wipes on hand in my locker and found that they get the nasty sticky gunk off stripper shoes. We sometimes have to dance on a bar stage at our club and my shoes get sticky from all the booze people spill up there. The baby wipes just sort of keep everything fresh. I try and keep my shoes looking fairly decent because lately more guys have been noticing them which I find VERY VERY odd.

its shoe smegma...ewwsies. dead skin and sweat all mixed together.
i dont take my shoes off at work when around custies very often....it would be too gross lol.
I use to use rubbing alcohol to clean mine![]()
Spraying lysol in your shoes works great at keeping odors and bacteria at bay.
I just washed my shoes in the dishwasher (in the top rack) for the first time. [FTR-I usually just throw my shoes out after about 6 months.] When they were done, I just set them outside in the sun to dry out completely. The stripper foot smell is completely gone!! I recommend this method, but I also replace my shoes quite frequently.

i tryed the bleach bucket idea from a post a while ago. bleach water dish soap, let sit in bucket for a while. it didnt work and water got trapped in the platform. and they turned a dingy weird blue color. hah that was the end of that pair.
how do you even get them to last that long, 3 months into a pair my soles have peeled up or my ankle straps break. i have even caved in platforms!

If you're putting them in the dishwasher be sure to turn off the heat drying options! I'd imagine that would seriously melt them.
I don't clean the inside of mine either except for the occasional spraying of Lysol if they really reek, and my shoes also last me forever.

I never clean mine either. My last clear pair lasted about 18 months and then I sold them on eBay for $60. I've been wearing my black pair for over a year and they are still in great shape.
shit. maybe i should buy more expensive brands. i usually go for strapless so the soles wear off or the platforms cave in. must just be the way i dance lol. i usually buy whatever at the stripper store i dont go for brand specific.
