to live somewhere with a great art scene, great music and a lot of ambitious people doing creative, really exciting shit. it sounds like brooklyn, right? does this place exist in forms other than brooklyn?

i've heard providence is good. i've never been, but people keep telling me i should go.
also: seattle, savannah, and (im not sure about anymore but...) new orleans.
A lot of places that are considered "trendy" are really just filled with hipsters/yuppies and has been gentrified to death. And most people have to sell a couple of organs before they could live in New York comfortably.

uh, austin texas.

Bozeman, Montana
Portland, Oregon
San Francisco, California (you'll pay and arm and a leg to exist there, though)
Miami, Florida (if you like to party)
Yeah, I've heard Austin, TX and San Fran are like this. If you were interested in a smaller town try Asheville, NC.

I agree with all the Austin responses. It's such a great city. Music, arts, cool people, lakes, hill country...

^^I agree with Providence. I went to RISD and loved it there. Plus you're close to Boston and NYC. And New England in the fall...*sigh*

WTF? I would NEVER in my life think brooklyn?!!
But hey I'm an Austinite. I'd say here or portland from what I've heard.

Does it have to be a big city?
I'm thinking of small college towns like Northampton, MA.

Carmel, CA (Not too sure about the music scene)
Cambria, CA
San Francisco, CA
Berkeley, CA
Santa Barbara, CA
Hmmm, can you tell where I'm from?![]()
