    Default Kinoko Pads?

Has Anyone Tried Kinoko Pads? I Saw Them On Tv. They Are Stickers You Can Place On The Bottom Of Your Foot To Absorb Toxins From The Body And Increase Energy. The Commercial Claims They Are Based On Ancient Japanese Reflexology. Any Information Would Be Appreciated.
    Thanks In Advance.

Get vinegar, put on towel. Put on foot. Same fucking thing.

The commercial also claims trees pull stuff down to the roots. Hell-o!

Omfg I know this lady who believes in EVERYTHING. She tells me conspiracy theories about how the government made plans with aliens to kill off all the people and how there's a well somewhere that you can listen and hear people screaming from hell.

Anyways she has a lot of theories about get-rich-quick schemes and health crap, too. She bought these online, and claims they're magic. She says her body is so clean, that the pads were almost black the first few nights she wore them, but now they're almost white. Her 16 year old kid that she forced to wear them backed up her story, but it's still fishy to me. This woman showed me how she won the Spanish lottery because some stranger kindly emailed her about it. I don't know if I can trust anything out of her mouth.

OMG! Quick, invent a "Health Tonic" and sell it to her for like hundreds of dollars.

I looked around at other sites regarding footpads. I had never heard of anything like this existing until i saw that one commercial for kinoki. The reason i wonder is because i also just recently learned about draining toxins at the spa through your feet.

I saw another company called takara and they send 2 pads for 4.95(just the shipping) so people can try them out. Anyway, do you ladies feel that these foot pads in general are a crock..or just this specific company kinoko?

The entire idea is a crock and so is that spa. If you know anything about how the human body disposes of toxins, you'd realize that all of them are just gimmicks designed to take your money.

I know people who used them and the foot spa that is supposed to release your body of toxins. I used one once and didn't notice any change in how I felt. They always have the foot spas set up at the Aesthetic conventions that I go to but they are always crowded so I never bothered but next time one comes up, I'll test it out and post about it.

It's weird...a couple of days after I saw the commercial for these things, I was talking to a customer @ wk who randomly brought up how good they were and how they worked for him!...so random

It's the placebo effect; people want them to work so bad that they convince themselves it did. Kind of like psychosomatic.

I had several pinched back nerves awhile ago and the chiro wanted to help clear out toxins and pain meds as part of my therapy. He had me put my feet in some nice warm water and then put in what I believe was some sort of electro magnet.

After a few minutes the water started changing colors and by the time the treatment was done there were even flakes of metal that were drawn out of my system. He explained as the water changed what types of stuff was being drawn out. It was gross and cool at the same time.
I was quite pleased with how this improved my situation and so when I saw these pads I was curious if they would do the same thing. I had my doubts about this product but there is something to the whole drawing toxins out through the feet thing. I am living proof

I found a link that shows the thingy he used on my feet. Check out the near the bottom to find out what I was speaking of with water changing colors and what they mean.

Well I had a positive experience with it so uhm yeah.

Geez, this is like the second or third time in a weeks time I have been given flake for posting about having positive experiences with less traditional medical treatments.

First I get told I shouldn't even SUGGEST considering avoiding sleep aids when trying to achive normal sleep patterns and now I'm told that there is apparently no way I could have had a positive experience with an ION foot bath.

Seriously, wtf? Both things worked well for me and so as an attempt to offer help ( which people can use, consider or not whatever they choose) I shared my experiences only to get sh*t for it.

It's not like I am suggesting people try anything unhealthy or dangerous. And I see PLENTY of that going on in Body Biz, btw. I'm just sharing what gave me positive reslts yet I'm getting the whole stfu vibe about it.

Getting told you shouldn't suggest this or nope, now way, you did not have good results with that just makes me not want to post in here at all.

My input is here clearly not welcome, so eff it, I just won't post in here anymore.

    Happy now. Good.

Yeah, I beleive the footbaths and pads are snake oil, too... They had a foot bath vendor at the last hairshow I went to- something about that alone makes me think trendy scam.

However, I think much of healing comes from positive thinking, too... Like if you want to be healthy and you beleive you'll be healthy, you're much more likely to make healthier decisions for yourself and also recognize the progress you're making. If someone sticking pads on thier feet or soaking thier piggies for a half hour motivates someone to be healthier, then I think it can be beneficial.

The problem is when people who are seriously ill or have craptacular health habits rely on such things alone... a pad and an little soak isn't going to undo the six Big Macs you just ate.

With the foot pads, I will admit I bought them. I was bored, they were next to the register.

I went home put them on over night like it suggests, I woke up and black gunk was on the pads. Then I researched it. I found that whatever chemical is in the pad, changes colors when it touches water...sweat.

To see if this was "true" I just took the pad into the bathroom and grabbed an eye dropper put a tiny bit of liquid in it. I dripped the water onto it, left the room. came back in 20 minutes and sure enough ..dry to the touch and black.

What the heck? Way to be defensive. I was showing you studies that the metal 'toxins' were pulled from the water itself, not your feet.

Damn me trying to save you money.

But how do you explain that supposedly as you become less toxic, the pads stop changing colors?

I saw these at Walgreens the othr day and I mentioned to the sales associate that they were crap and a scam and how funny people buy them and I told her that the color change came form a chemical rection in the pad, not the feet. She said to me, then how do you explain the pads stop changing colors after a few days of use??

I was unfortunatly at a loss to explain that, looked like a dumbass and she sat there thinking that they do work.

I used to use these foot pads. It gave my satisfaction waking up with gross black shit. Kind of the same satisfaction I get from squeezing a zit hehe. But I was disapppointed to find out that it's a crock of shit. Oh well I wont be buying them again.

Ya, you're right I was over defensive. Been feeling a bit attacked on the site lately and vented. My sincere apology.

I still say I had a positive experience with the detox foot bath. I don't much care why at this point. I was in massive pain and that Chiro saved me from what the regular Doc wanted to do to me. They wanted to open me up operate on my back!

I had lots of other therapy in his office besides that detox foot bath and basic chiro service. It was a full spectrum approach over weeks of time. He is no quak or scam artist. He helped me more than the ER and all the traditional Dr's I saw about my back combined.

I didn't waste any money from my perspective especially since I wasn't charged anything additional for those detox baths. They were just part of many treatments included in my office vist costs.

Anywho, like I said at first I have my doubts about these foot pads ( b/c there is no electo magnet stuff involved and that is what I had a good experience with) and would not buy them, I was just saying that there might be something to drawing toxins out through the skin and feet in general as there are something like 2000 pores on our feet alone.

In other words, I'm not defending these pads per say just that it's possible that skin detox can be benefical for some people.

I assume less sweat on your feet at certain night? I have no idea. But out of curiosity I used different amounts of just tap water on the remaining pads (not like I'm going to wear them) and they all turned out the same.
