If you work in one of those clubs in which your income is based mainly on stage tips, pole tricks are essential otherwise if the club you work at requires you to talk to people in order for them to buy lap dances or table dances or champagne rooms, I would say do not bother with pole tricks.

I guess it's no so much a money thing. If a girl just doesn't have that innate urge to jump on the pole, many do better concentrating on the many other aspects of the job. But me, if a put a pole in front of me my first response is "Ooh I want to play".
I have a confession to make also, when I used to walk into a new club to work I couldn't wait to hit the stage. The same girls in the back giving me the stick eye because they think the club is hiring too many new girls, give me so much more respect after my stage set. It melted the ice for me and the stink eye stopped cold. Where ever I traveled to work, girls were always cool to me. But I'm a pretty easy going gal anyway, so I was never "I think I'm better than you because I can swing around a pole".
If you're not a snob about it they can apreciate the art in it. Or it's just "damn, I can't do that, give the girl her props." I am always like that when I see something I don't know how to do. Then I really want to learn to do it!

I don't think my pole work has ever seriously made me make more money, but I'm one of the only girls in my club who does pole work as advanced as I do. I don't think it has gotten me dances, but definatly stage tips, and it catches their eye.

    Ok.
My pole classes are finally starting. If you live in the los angeles area and want to learn some new pole tricks come take a lesson. It's a fitness class too, so it's designed to give you a great workout.

The studio is located in Sherman Oaks on Ventura Bvld. The group classes are on Wednesday at 2 and Saturadays at 1.

I keep the classes small so you have to call to schedule. The business line is 323-493-4359. Call me and I'll save you a spot on the pole.

Oh Yeah, the website is differant than before. It's now Halo-dance.com. It's still under construction but all the main info is there. You can also find it at myspace.com/halodance.

I think the pole is kind of an icon, its part of popular culture. When you think strip club, you think of the big shiny brass pole. Whenever strip clubs are featured in movies or tv shows, there are always poles and the girls are always spinning around them. IMO the stage sets are what bring customers in, at least new customers. So although not every girl has to do polework, or even stage sets, the ones that do, and the ones that are good are a huge asset to the club. They bring more business to the other girls by keeping the customers in the club and entertained while the floor girls make their way around the room. Obviously the custies aren't going to sit around all night twiddling their thumbs waiting to be approached by a dancer.

no matter the club, im usually the only girl on shift that does tricks...sometimes there are one or two others, but there usually aren't any other girls on shift that look anything like me, so pole tricks kinda make me stand out. guys DO notice them...and tip pretty well because of them. but i think it's because i'm a pretty good dancer in general...i combine pole tricks with slow sexy moves...even the others sit at my stage and tip me their own money...i've also seen girls sitting at a table with customers...and tell them to watch me...and throw lots of money at me....so im happy either way!! but it's also now WHAT you do, its HOW you do it...pole tricks must be done with grace...otherwise they may hurt your stage tips...
