    Default Baltimore's Gold Club

Hey everyone I'm new....this is my first post!

This question is for everyone in the Baltimore area - how would you rate the Gentleman's Gold Club? I think I am going to stop in tonight for an audition....

I worked at the Ritz Cabaret around Christmas time this year but they had a rule that all dancers HAD to put themselves on the schedule for at least 3 nights a week. I only wanted to work 1 or 2! 3 was too much for me to handle. That was my first and only experience dancing.

I have it in me to start dancing again (especially since I just bought a new car - eek!) but I don't want to be at a club that enforces rules like that. I've heard a lot of good things about the Gold Club so I think that's where I want to go now. Any opinions on this club? Like what their scheduling is like? And the custies?

    Thanks!

It's a more "upscale club" than many others. I like it better than the Ritz....the Ritz just had a weird vibe, to me.

They supposedly make you work at least 1 day per week, and a min of 3 shifts per week, but there are always exceptions....otherwise, you choose what nights/days you want to work. They might've started something new since I've been there, though...cuz I heard one of the managers telling someone that she had to work either Fri or Sat....so I dunno.

I really like Gold Club. The customers are nice, for the most part. Mngmt treats the girls well, too.

Good luck auditioning tonight if you decide to go! I will be there and will say hi if I see you.

there are 2 sides to every story. once upon a time, i would tell you i loved the gold club. i raved about that place.

now, though, i cant see myself going back there if i was guaranteed $1000 a night. without going into details, i had more than one negative experience there, experiences that i havent had at any of the other clubs ive worked at. like the time my brand new car got hit in the parking lot, directly under the camera, and they refused to review the camera. i felt that the girls got no respect.

but then again like i said.. 2 sides to every story. you wont know until you try.

I don't think I'll have time to get ready for tonight, but I'll probably come in one night next week after the weekend holiday. When is the best time to come in? I was thinking around 7pm, before it's too busy.

Make sure you do say hi! I'll be the redhead I think I might choose Ryan or Lola as my stage name!

i HAVE worked all over baltimore, but right now i work in beltsville. been there a year and am loving it more than anywhere else i ever worked.

the car thing was, in my opinion, on purpose. long story short, this girl i worked with at another club and i had major issues. her best friend waitressed at ggc. said best friend was fucking the manager. the way my car was hit was clearly something on purpose. i wouldnt worry about that.

Times that are good...hrm...it prolly varies. I def would call before you come in, tho, to make sure someone can watch...cuz even when I DID call before I came in...when I got there, they were in a meeting so I had to come back anyhow. Cute names! Actually, there's already a redhead there named Ryan! lol

    Damn, Britt, that sucks :-/

yeah, i had a lot of bad experiences there. some were my fault, some were theirs, and some were a combination of the two. like i said.. there was a time when i thought that place was god's gift to strip clubs. i quit once, and went back to try again, but things just got worse. oh well! i've moved on to greener pastures.

I knew a girl who got her car messed with too at the Gold Club and they wouldn't do anything about it. I also knew someone who claimed she got drugged there and supposedly the cameras were "off" so they couldn't go back and see who did it. But, that's just hearsay so I don't know how true it is and besides, that, I've heard good things about it.

Besides the schedule thing at the Ritz, how was it? I've been there as a customer and enjoyed it but obviously didn't see behind the scenes. I am moving back up to Baltimore in October and want to start thinking about where to work.

I won't go into detail but I wouldn't wish the gold club on my worst, worst enemy. Don't work there unless you want to work hard at getting regulars.

^ they arent related. i've worked at a club in delaware called fantasia/the gold club (i'm not sure which is the name now) that was part of a chain but this gold club is not.

iseestars and starfire, i'm glad you guys spoke up! theres a lot of funny business going on there.

I auditioned for GGC, and got hired, but I got a sketchy vibe from them. Nothing tangible, just a gut feeling. Maybe I misjudged and would have liked it if I gave it a chance, but something just didn't feel right, so I went to Hustler. And heard a bunch of ex-GGC dancers there telling stories about how people at GGC really were shady. It was secondhand info, but I tend to think that if multiple people are all saying the same thing there must be SOME truth in it.

I used to really like the gold club in Delaware...I don't know what happened, but it went from super-awesome great-money club to ghetto/thug central in about three months' time. Last I heard a customer got stabbed there. It's a shame, b/c once upon a time it was one of my favorite clubs.

Normally, I wouldn't have because they really aren't my personal experiences but I just thought it so crazy that your car got messed with and so did another girl's car and yet, the club didn't help either one of you. The reason I never checked out that club was because I heard that the dancers have to sell five drinks per shift and one champagne room per week.

I think that's funny that you said the DE Gold Club went thug because one of the girls from that club came to my old club and I actually got into a fist fight with her, which I had never done at work before! She was pretty ghetto acting.

yeah, that's true, but it's also really easy. i rarely did lap dances there, i always sold rooms. and i had a problem selling my drinks literally one time.

i dont want to drudge up all my bad experiences there, but just to mention another one since we're on the subject -

i worked day shift. i was in a gold room. i finished, and went up to the dressing room to get dressed. the night dj was up there and announced in front of the entire dressing room full of girls (since shifts were changing there were tons in there) that i should know they saw me letting that guy finger me on the camera.

k, few things.. youre the dj. you dont get to do that. second, if you needed to say something to me, pull me aside. but again, NOT A MANAGER so not your place. also, he wasnt even working yet, since he was the night shift dj. i flipped OUT because it was not true. funny enough, he had me "confused" with someone else. but before we got to that conclusion (which who knows if its even true) the manager said that i did and they'd show me the camera, then they changed it to oh well i was fingering myself, and then they switched to the confused with someone else part.

yeah alright. bullshit. if i HAD been letting a guy finger me and you were watching it on the camera, why hadn't someone come in to stop it? huh?

K, now I'm curious which DJ YOU are talking about in this post lol.

I'm used to people who work at strip clubs seeming shady. I just try to mind my own biz and do my job. I guess it's kinda hard, though, when people are messing w/you and your belongings.

Iseestars, you don't HAVE to sell 1 champagne room per week. They just say that. When I started I never did rooms, and I was never fined. At night, you DO have to pay $10 per drink you don't sell, but sometimes it's worth just paying for them instead of wasting time and talking to someone.

Starfire, you're right about the regulars thing, for daytime. I can still usually manage to pull off a good dayshift without regulars, but sometimes I don't make anything until 4 or 5...and the shift ends @ 7. So that's discouraging. I've decided to work all nights now. I'm not sure about other nights, but Thurs and Fri you don't really need regulars as much...at least for now. Many of the girls seem to sit and talk for long periods of time or be occupied in rooms with their regs...which means free roam for me!! There was 1 other girl who used to walk around to random people alot like me, but I think she developed some regulars and I see her sitting around alot more lately.

Thanks for all the info guys....I am prob going to check it out/call one day this week. I think I would be WAY more comfortable just getting some regulars instead of randomly walking around and hoping someone wants a dance.

iseestars: At Ritz it was like that, however I was there for only about 2 weeks because of the scheduling rules. If I had been there longer I'm sure I would have developed a few good regulars to rely on. I liked Ritz because the other girls were super cool and chill. I genuinely liked the slowness at the beginning of the shift because we all used to just sit together and talk. One drawback (but maybe this is just the way it is at all clubs) were the house fees based on the time you arrived. If you got there by 6, the fee was only $25. Every hour it got higher. If you got there after 9 I think you had to pay like $50 !! So that blew, because obviously you dont start making your money later in the night. It wasnt bad in my experience, but a lot of the other girls bitched and complained a LOT.

So at GGC, do they have house fees? Or is selling 5 drinks your "fee"? If so, that is AWESOME. I sold drinks like cake at Ritz, I couldnt get guys to STOP buying them for me.

The 5 drinks are considered to be payout! However, daytime tipout is $20 total for bouncers/DJs. Nighttime varies. The cheapest I've had is $30 and I think the most expensive is $50. It's really not a big deal, tho, cuz that's your stage money.
