Trail mix! With multigrain cheerios, peanuts, almonds, raisins and cranberries. Maybe some M&M's just to make it colorful.

When I was a little girl they gave us nilla wafers, a peice of chocolate and some vanilla icing with green food coloring to make little "burgers". They were yum!

And chocolate pudding with gummy worms in it and crumpled grahm crackers on top to "dig".

^that's not really a healthy snack though...

What about cutting fruits and veggies into cool shapes and having them make colorful shish kebab things on skewers.

or.... parfaits are fun because they can make layers like sand art.. you could get yogurt/pudding, granola or cheerios, and different berries- blackberries, raspberies, strawberries, blueberries, sliced kiwi, banana... and layer them in clear cups

    Haha. You are funny.

Anyway. the daycare my 2 year old goes to does, vegetarian, whole grain, all organic food for snacks and lunch. I notice what they do is always offer at least one fruit, one vegetable and one grain at each meal. My girl eats some awesome stuff; kiwi, melon, grapes, apples etc. for fruits, cucumbers, zuccini, broccolli, etc. for vegetables, and kamut flakes, cous cous, puffed corn, polenta, corn bread and stuff like that for grain.

Dips are also great to get nutrition. Hummus for veggies and yogurt for fruits.

Good luck! Sounds like a really really great program.
I'm confused, but the Chewbacca Truffle Shuffle cleared it up. - Emily

We use little miniature cookie cutters to make finger sandwiches. We also cut up fruits and veggies and make colorful "pictures" with them.

Get some different 100% juices, puree some fruit to go with it and freeze them as popsicles (or italian ice type of thing).

Just be sure to check if any of the kids have food allergies!
