I've been hemming and hawwing about actually getting a "real" job in the "real" world (as opposed to my fake job in this plastic world) and I finally found the PERFECT job.
I can work nights. If I'm forced to work Friday nights, I'm saving lives so I can still maintain my Jewish Shabbat. I will get paid around the same. I can FINALLY make use of my years weightlifting and having thicker arms won't be so terrible. My history won't nearly matter as much if someone finds my magazine as doing something else (like police) would. I can still be physical and I'm small enough to fit into cracks and small spaces to save more people. I'm still young enough to start this career.
I'M GONNA BE A FIREFIGHTER.
I made the phone call and I get my training packet in the mail early next week. From there I'll be taking my courses and exams and physicals and hopefully I'll get to be a firefighter in a couple years (only 60 make it a year, eek!).
I really think this is the job for me that can transition me out of dancing some day. Not for maybe 5-10 years but enough so I have a background and a history to keep me in the industry of actually earning a living after I have to hang up the boots.
Sure, I can die, but in this instance, I really think it'd be worth it.

Just think of all the seyx firefighters you're gonna get to meet!

It makes you overlook certain character flaws and bad behavior .
. Hahaha. I'm really short but I can leg press 300 kilos (over 600 pounds) and bench press like 150kg (300 pounds) and dead lift somewhere in the 200kg range... so I can definitely lift a few people to safety. (I know I can lift large people but not sure about dead weight. I've lifted a few 6'6" friends that are like 200kg.)
