Default hustling people OTC (accidentally, or on purpose)

Anything you guys do in Stripper Mode when you're not even in the club?

I spend at least three shifts a week being "Lily"- sometimes I forget I'm not working!

I noticed that when I meet people and they ask for my name, the first thing i want to respond with is actually my stage name, because I introduce myself with my so much more often.

When I chat with new people or acquaintances, I start giving them my "totally fake" story! I picture it so much at work, I already halfway believe: that I was born in China, my mother is still a fortune-teller there, etc etc.

When I'm listening to people talk about themselves, my first reaction is to suck up to them and reaffirm their greatness, their good looks, etc, and I have to remind myself and that I'm NOT TRYING TO SELL A CR to this person later.

One time, I just got out of work so I went to go watch a movie with my friend afterwards, i was a little buzzed... I ran into this guy I knew, who brought me a gift he bottled for me, and BAM before i even thought about it I turned on Stripper Mode, bouncing up and down and giggling and cooing and sending vibes like i want to hump his leg sometime asap

I didn't even notice until my friend started laughing when he left, she said "oh my god," she couldn't believe what just happened.
    Ugh!

ROFL!!! Yeah, work can certainly train us to be socially retarded in a normal world context.

I wonder what the guy thought

I go into "work mode" if I sense the person is trouble.

Or if I need something really badly......It's called "having game."

Yes. It saved me yesterday when I needed to negotiate a new gym membership where I could do my PT stuff as well, and when I needed help with my tire, which got a nail in it.

It's almost like being detached from yourself because you go into a certain mode. I guess it's the same as any "professional face" I put on before, but somehow this seems different. And better.

Some weeks ago, someone was giving me change, and I was glazed over and lost in my head. I absentmindedly reach for my boobs to squash them around the money and caught myself right in time.

Lately I've been going partly into stripper mode when I need to get something out of someone.

yeaaa... I've had to catch myself a few times from saying my stage name.
reminds me of a few weeks ago when I went over a friend's house and her dad mentioned how something looked different about me.... it was because I had just dyed my hair... so I said all flirtatious-like "I dyed my hair... what do you think? looks good on me?" and i gave him a full spin to see all of me.lol. I couldn't even help myself. it's as if I was back in the club and trying to hustle another old man.

Whenever I go to a bar, I automatically strike up a conversation to any guy who just happens to sit down next to me. On the plus side, I almost never buy my own drinks when I go out.

ha ha just last night I was with my husband and best friend at a bar, and after he introduced me to a male coworker I caught myself going, "Oh? REALLY? WOOOOW!! (bat bat bat)" and looked over at my friend, who was shaking her head...I need better stripper control

I think its biggest for me when I have to pause while introducing myself and consider whether to tell someone my real name or my stage name. When I was living in Guam, absolutely no one outside my own husband called me by my real name. It was kind of surreal.
I've never done the batting my eyes or getting sexy to get what I want. I'm not even really over-flirtatious at work so that's not really part of my behavior. I've seen women do it and honestly, I think its pretty cheesy outside of a strip club.

The pause...oh yes....I totally think I give myself away when it takes a second too long to introduce myself outside of work!

And then I proudly proclaim it as if I'm giving 'My final answer' pronouncing each syllable with such affirmation. Im sure some ppl think,' She must really like her name' or something (?!?!?) lol

Honestly, I really really hustle the shit out of people. I don't mean to do it, but honestly I've made my living hustling people since I was 18 and it's just kind of in my nature. I am by no means mailcous, and I certainly don't take advantage of people, but I'm very good at knowing what to say and do to get what I want out of people....Not even always in a sexual way, I do it with women too.

I've done it. I've hustled guys at the bar and at the pool table. this was while I was trashed, though. It just kinda smacked me in the face. 'WTF are you doing?1 You are E, not Ash!!!"

I bought two new sewing machines today (a Pfaff and a serger). I flirted with the owner/salesman and played poor college student and got the $600 Pfaff for $400 and the $600 Serger for $350. I shit you not.

I accedentally give out my stage name all the time with out thinking about it, ie. when ordering take out and they ask for a name. I often pause when meeting new people because im not sure which name to give. I was tripping out how natural it is to be robin and k just the other day.

Totally! When meeting new people in real life I always have to pause a minute and think about which name to give them...

I usually only meet new people at work so I do sometimes have to think when I meet a new person outside of work and make sure I use my real name.

I dont act flirty etc outside of work coz it's a struggle for me to act that way at work.

There was one time that I went to a SC as a customer and a guy started talking to me and asked if I wanted to go for a dance with him and a dancer. So he ended up buying me dances all night, buying drinks for my guy friend and I all night, I made him give me money to tip the girls on stage and he gave me $200 to keep myself. That was a strange night and I certainly didn't go out with the intention of doing something like that.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

Yup. This happens to me. I have to think about what name to give them. Then when they ask me stuff about myself I have to think if I need to make stuff up or not. Esp. about the "where are you from?"
I don't use my in the club self to get stuff otc b/c usually I'm nowheres near dolled up. And I'm not one of those women who looks great w/out makeup.
But when I'm made up I abuse it a little.

no, too risky, at least in the club you hope they know its fake. when you are nice to people outside the club they all assume its real, and that you might want to jump their bones.
im not too flirty in the club to begin with though, so that might be why
but in real life im a bitch, and i dont give anyone the time of day and i often give nasty men who hit on me the finger. its gotten a lot worse since i realized i should be getting paid for my time lol

actually, i do do stripper mode in real life- when going on job interviews. i do a lot of eye contact and try to be friendly and engaged, unfortunately its not working well :-(
