Is there anything an adult can do about an overbite? I had braces already in high school, I have no gaps, so I didn't really know if anything could actually be done. My small overbite has been making me crazier and crazier lately.

My overbite was corrected by braces... but I was 13. I still have this permanent retainer thing that's cemented to the back of my lower teeth- which, according to my current dentist, is helping the overbite from reoccuring.
I googled 'adult overbite' and quite a few websites suggested consulting with an orthodontist.
My bf had a really bad overbite, he had braces for years and it didn't fix it so eventually he had an operation where they broke his jaw (upper and lower)and reset it. After the op he had his jaw wired together for 3 weeks to set it in place, for all that time all he could eat was soup or liquidised food. It was a seriously major operation but it made an amazing difference. I have a moderate overbite too which really buggs me but I don't think I could put myself through all that.
