Default help me find a drugstore version....

i need something to stop lipgoss/lipstick from feathering. i know there are expensive products like too faced "borderline" and such...

but have any of you found something similar that works well on the cheap at a drugstore? IOW a transparent lip-liner that goes just above the lip-line to keep everything in place.

    suggestions?

I use a lip colored lip liner and draw it on were the pigment of my lip fades out but my lip tissue still is. I have really defined lips that are flat (seems like most peoples lips are more rounded) so that may not work for you.

Maybe you could find a nude lip liner or put concealer around your lips and blend it in obviously. I really don't know...sorry.

To keep my lipstick from feathering I just usually line my lips with a nude colored pencil then dust my lips with a loose powder (I use the bare minerals "mineral veil") before I apply. This method has always worked pretty well for me.

However there are certain glosses that are just to slick for this... so I just avoid them all together. Lately I have been loving lip stain as opposed to lip stick/ lip gloss...it stays put much better.

i got the sally hansen clear one i posted a link to. i didn't think it would work, because when i put it on it didn't feel/look like anything really... but it totally did work!

i wore red lipstick with red gloss that i love but usually feathers like a mother... and it didn't go anywhere. allllll day. i picked it up for 5 bucks at wallgreens. now i can start using all these glosses i have and make them last, instead of buying more shit.
