I usually work seven to fourteen days straight a month. Averaging 8-10 hour shifts. I go on stage once a night and sometimes not at all.
This is what I do:
I establish a routine and follow it. I wake up around the same time each day, eat the same thing, go to gym, and allow my self three hours to get ready for work.
I try not to be late or frazzled, because that messes with my mojo, I leave my mood at the door. I don't get involved with work drama or politics.
I worked almost everyday in March . My routine is what made it possible and high saving goals. I also switched up my shifts a bit. I usually have to start at 7pm, so some nights I would come in a 2:30am instead and only work four hours. Then the next night I would end up working twelve hours.
Listen to your body and take good care of yourself (eat right, vitamins, limit alcohol). I had a cold about a month ago and had worked 8 days straight. I was feeling burned and tired but went in at 7pm anyways. The Laker game was on, so it was dead. I ended up nodding off in a corner between 8 and 10pm and suffered consequences for this with management. I would have been better off staying home or going in later!
Good Luck and it's possible!

Where there's a will there's a way..... I'm amazed that you girls only go on stage once or twice a night. At the bikini bar we go up about 4-8 times 4 stages 2 songs each a night. I work alot of double shifts and if it weren't for the alcohol I would consider this as my exercise because we dance a little faster go-go ass shakin style there (well I do) hell I can't KEEP on the weight.
I think I'm gonna hop on her bandwagon and try to pay off this cc bill too, but I do agree it gets harder to be perky and fun when you're there all day and you end up hiding in the back or taking longer changing outfits, etc cause you're tired.

I've done 7 days for a couple weeks before but that was before I started to drink- I've been doing 5 days recently but it is at a lowkey slow hustle club...stage is an option, etc. When I go to somewhere new that is more high-speed, I hope I can maintain that work ethic.
You can do 7 days, you should do it as long as the money is worth it and you are not burning yourself out. Not everyone needs 3 or 4 days of rest.

I feel your pain. I've been working like a horse and then I totally went creepy mcgoo the last couple of days. Not a pretty sight. I'm taking three days off just to say "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh". And getting a facial. We deserve to be nice to themselves. Stay strong, Cherry.
Man, I could really go for a cry, too. A good cry.

update? how is it going?

Things are going well. I have been working every single day but took a break to go on a mini-vacay with a cute boy. I'm working tonight, tomorrow night, etc. and I'm also going to be traveling, doing private parties, selling off some of my clothes, etc.
I also had an offer for a photo shoot with a photog I really respect and a spot in a local musical group.
So things are coming along! I just make sure to try to do some form of work every day. It's money I wouldn't have had just sitting around.
I've tried that recently but you know what the best thing is to do...work smart not hard
Get hired at a cpl clubs near you ...find out their good nights and work the good night/ days
for instance instead of working mon tue wed thur fri sat sun
you can work wed thur fri & sat double shifts
go to one clubs day shift and at the night work another clubs night shift its a tricky little way to make working 7 days into 8 days. You will probably have more money then you would if you just worked 7 days including the bad ones plus thats how you get burnt out!
plus you get to sleep and take care of your business for 3 days
try it!
it worked for me

I wish you the best of luck! I worked every single night a couple of years ago out of determination to give my daughter the birthday party I had been longing for her to have and it paid off. I'm in the same boat this year only I've decided to make it easier on myself by working longer hours instead of every single night. I figure since the economy is so rotten and most clubs don't tend to get busy until really late, working longer hours is better and not quite as hard on the body.
Good for you! I couldn't do it. I usually dance one night a week.. I danced last night and I'm going in again tonight and I'm so tired. I guess I shouldn't complain![]()

Jasmine that's a great idea and I'm going to try it out.![]()
Thanks I hope it works for you
you know why I love doing it this way...because you have 2 chances in one day to have a good night so if day shift is bad, night might be great or if night is bad day might be great and if both are great well you'll be paying off bills a whole hell of a lot faster and maybe even have a little extra shopping money
good luck!![]()

Wow, good luck! I just worked 4 days in a row with one double, and then took a day, then worked 2 days.. and I feel exhausted all ready!
The $$$ is motivating. I count it before bed and sometime in the day before work - it's motivating to see that money and think "I could have more RIGHT NOW if I were at work!"

The longest I've worked was the showgirl thing with the 6 days straight, 10-12 hour days, and each day 3 or 4 stages that were 17min long each. By the last night, my feet were bleeding. Literally! And I'm always getting very bruised by that kind of work. Although I agree with DangerousDiva- if you keep a routine, it's pretty doable. It's a head game too.
Here I could see myself working everyday, if it were four hour shifts. Except that I don't.

There was a girl at my club who worked every day. And every day after the club, she'd work EVERY DAY waitressing at a resturant.
She always came in with a great attitude, and was one of our top earners.
People like her are few and far between, but I deeply admire them!
I could do it if I only have to go on stage 3 times or less a night and the club was NONSMOKING. I worked 4 days ago and my throat is still scratchy from all that smoke. I can't wait until smoking is banned in strip clubs, the money will go down in the beginning, but if all clubs ban smoking, guys aren't going to stop going. I think the most amt of days i've worked in a row was 3, but that was at a stage centric (on stage 2 hours out of 4) club w/ high energy stage performances.
