This place looks decent, but probably costly. What does an addict in need of inpatient treatment need as far as facility?
thanks

I didn't get too far into the website before seeing this. I'd be really skeptical about any program that claims to have a 90% success rate and was inspired by Scientology guru, L. Ron Hubbard.William Benitez, an inmate of Arizona State Prison, founded the NARCONON Program in 1966. Benitez read a book by American author L. Ron Hubbard, and by applying the principles it contained on increasing one's abilities, he and dozens of other inmates were able to permanently end their addictions to heroin.
And the "drug free" withdrawal claims scare me. I don't know too many severe addicts who can withdraw without some pharmaceutical help. It says they use vitamins, and frankly, I wouldn't go for that.
I'm sure you can find a good treatment center that has a better program than this. Don't be swayed by pictures of scenic beaches.
Narconon is run by Scientologists.
DO NOT GO THERE.
They'll stick you in saunas for hours, give you mega-doses of vitamins and force you to do a lot of exercise.
That's not rehab. You need to go someplace that's accredited, with medical supervision and trained addiction counselors.

Xiomara:
On a personal note, I would be extremely leery of any program that boasts:
"Over 90% success rate (Best in the Rehabilitative Industry)"...
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), was created in 1992 to focus attention, programs, and funding on improving the lives of people with or at risk for substance abuse disorders. They have an awesome website that answers FAQ's about a number of issues, including your question in the OP.
You also can search for treatment facilities in all 50 United States (plus all of the U.S Territories) using the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator:
You can even search for a treatment facility by name using:
When I searched by name for "Narconon Gulf Coast" I found that it offers:
Substance abuse treatment/services
Residential long-term treatment (more than 30 days)
Reimbursement via Self Payment or Private Health Insurance
I wish you luck in locating assistance for yourself or your loved one...

Via "Self Payment".... I'm sorry but even though I know they mean to pay for it, it makes me giggle knowing they're Scientology operated. Like you can pay... with YOUR SELF!!!!
