    Default I ate fish today....

    and I didn't hate it!!!!
    This is huge because it's such a healthy food and I have always had a hatred for it. It actually tasted OK to me. And, yes, I have tried all sorts and even tried Fresh Red Salmon straight from the rivers of ALASKA (literally) and it made me want to puke.
    Not tonight though. I had salmon that was rubbed with pecan meal and a little EVO. I secretly liked it
    I hope this means I can broaden my taste for fish. I'm starting to switch tastebuds a bit lately. Like, I used to HATE salt and vinegar chips, and now I like them.
    And no, I'm not preggos. That's 100% confirmed.

    I've noticed too that the older I get the more I'm enjoying foods I used to dislike. I never used to order fish from restaurants but not too long ago my husband did and let me try some. Ohhh myy was it delicious!!! I wanted to eat the rest of it but instead acted like a lady and let him finish it. Boo So now I think I'm going to order it next time.

    What else are you enjoying now? Anything you can think of? I find it interesting.

    Oh, I used to hate garlic but now I'm loving it in mixed in with mashed potatoes. Not bad. I can't really think of anything else right now..

    Grilled vegetables with no butter what so ever.

    HOT HOT HOT stuff....like tears hot (all sorts of hot..mexican to indian to spicy nuts and jalapeno chips)
    vinegar type things

    I just did this too!!! Since I changed my eating habits, I have been looking for other options when it comes to protein. I tried tilapia, salmon and tuna (ahi and tartare.) I LOVE fish! Its so weird because I use to hate it too.

    i have noticed that i am able to tolerate things a lot spicier then ever before.
    I actually like fish less now then i used to, especially raw fish which used to be a favorite. I really LOVE steaks now, which is not so healthy

    ^^^ actually steaks can be really healthy. Just depends on the cut and how it's cooked and marinated. If you get a really fresh NY strip and trim the fat and grill it with either no seasoning or a little pepper it's FANTASTIC!!! Esp. if you get a really good cut. Filet Mignon is also very low in fat, and is the healthiest steak, but much more expensive. I grill some veggies no butter with it and you can have a GREAT meal for under 400 calories depending on what type of steak you get (and sometimes you can't even finish it!)
