    Default 30 Day Shred

I just ordered this dvd off ebay... It's meant to be really hard, but you can get great results!! I've been so unmotivated for the gym and running lately, I figure I can do this in the comfort of my lounge room..

    Has anyone else tried??

I do it everyday, and I really like it. It is intense, but short.

Yeah I do the same thing. I really like JM too, she doesn't get on my nerves. I don't like the one girl in the vid tho. I haven't noticed any weight loss, but I'm not dieting or overweight so idk. I'm on day 14 of 30.

There are 3, 20 min workouts. They progressively get harder and the moves are way different.

I have this dvd too and I'm gonna start it after this weekend, I think! I can't wait, I have her "Making the Cut" book and followed her workouts in that for a month. It was intense! But not impossible. I see results muscle-wise but I didnt (couldn't!) follow her diet...... WAY too detailed about certain things to eat, so I just tried to eat healthily.
Also, I would maybe suggest doing more cardio on top of the dvd, cuz with her book you were supposed to do it separately and I'm sure it'd help you see your new muscles more.
I'm sure the dvd is great too! I like that each workout is short. It's so unmotivating to me to know I'm facing an intense, long workout! Good luck to everyone else starting the dvd too!

I just bought this and it kicks butt. I am finding level 1 pretty hard. There are 3 levels all together. People seem to get the best results from rotating levels each day.

I just found it on Netflix! I think I wanna give it a try. I like that I'm actually building a work-out habit but the routine is starting to get just a little boring.

Yep, from what I have been reading they will do Level 1, then 2, back to 1, maybe 2 or 3. Of course this is after you are able to handle 2 or 3. I did 2 for the first time today. I had to follow the modified moves and almost didn't make it through. It was tough!

^^Wow really good to know. I did lvl 1 for about 6 days, and have been doing level 2 for 11 days. I was going to wait a few more days to go to level 3, but I guess today I will mix it up. Yay! I was getting tired of the damn plank pose moves. The squat/arm raises on level 2, circuit 3 really kill me too.

I've been doing Level 1 for about a week... I did Level 2 today and MAN I hate the plank pose moves. It'll be another week at least until I'm ready for Level 3! I'm scared.
I like it though, because it's so easy to get motivated for a 20 minute workout. I definitely sweat and feel good, but not sore after.
I thought originally that this dvd was actually 30 workouts for each level!!!! I was a bit disappointed to see it's only 3. I always thought you shouldn't work the same muscles every day, but so far, I haven't been too sore and I feel fine.

Whew! Did my first level 1 today. Got through it fine, the pushups were actually the hardest for me, although my calves were on fire during the jumprope bit too. Couldn't pick my heels up as far as she did during the kick-up part of the cardio; other than that, no modified moves - I'm pretty happy with that.

I sweated for a full 20 min. after finishing. Guess that's good, yes?

I think I'm gonna try the seven days and move up idea, and see how that goes. My endurance needs some work.

I'll keep you posted..hope everyone else reports back!

^^Thats great! I just finished my 30 days 3 days ago and I'm thinking about getting her other dvds. Are you planning on dieting too, or just implementing the workout?

I sorta-kinda diet. I don't follow anything strictly; I just try to avoid fried and sugary stuff; lots of grilled chicken and tuna and water; low-fat yougurt and oat bran sticks; and I just started flax seed meal with fat free yougurt/cottage cheese. Lots of veggies when I can.
My weakness is dips - I really like the japanese white sauce, which is mayo based - that's my worst culprit other than salt. When I want cheese; I have reduced fat provolone or swiss.
Trying to do a lot of salads too; but then I want to put ranch on it..
I cut cola out two weeks ago, so I'm doing pretty well with that.
Did you like your results from the 30 days?

Do you need any equipment to do the workouts? I am thinking from the previous post maybe a skip rope? And do you need much space?

One set of handweights and a mat if you don't have carpet. I got two sets of handweights (3lbs and 5lbs) so I could move up if I wanted to.
