Post Dressing Up To Go To Work

Why? I see girls coming into and leaving work wearing sexy outfits and heels. Are they all going out before/after work and need to look nice? Personally, I never dress up to go to work - it seems like a waste to me. After taking off my 7" heels for the night, I'm so glad to put on my tennis shoes and jeans, go home and sleep. Anyone else see this?

for me, it depends on where the entrance is to the club. if i have to walk past a million guys, i'm gonna try not to look like shit & do make-up/hair before hand. if the entrance is in the back, i couldn't care less. i'm usually in leathers anyway, so they can think what they want, i suppose.

If I have to walk through the club I'll make I sure look nice, my club now we have to come in the back but I still try to look put together. I may not wear heels and going out clothes, even in shorts and a t-shirt I try to look nice, never like a bum.

I am freaked out to meet up with a customer and look like shit so I usually try and dress nice, though not like I'm going clubbing.

Ooh, maybe I should think about this. I usually have my hair and makeup done, but am almost always wearing shitty, comfy clothes. Most of the time, theres only like 5 guys there though. The depressed early-evening crowd.

I usually wear the off-duty stripper uniform of yoga pants and a cute tee shirt/tank top to go to the club. And flats. My feet are so happy to be back into flats at the end of the night!

Personally, I never wanted to be recognized by customers when coming into or walking out of the club. Going in meant wet hair pulled up, no makeup, glasses, flip flops, and a long sleeved shirt to cover my tattoos. Even the girls didn't recognize me sometimes after the "transformation" into dancer mode. Same thing at the end of the night minus the wet hair.

I never dress up to go to work. I'll have my makeup done, but thats it. Usually comfy pants/shorts and t-shirt or tank top, and flip flops. I never got it when at the end of the night I see these girls putting on their sexy clothes with 4" heels. I keep thinking 'didnt you spend enough time in heels tonight?'

I'm flat-out incapable of walking out of my house without complete hair, makeup, and a well-picked outfit so I generally look rather put together. I couldn't force myself to leave the house in a crappy tanktop and yoga pants even if I wanted to really. I am flat-out OCD about my look in the club or outside.

The funny part is I look somehow very unstripperish. I don't quite understand HOW I can magicly not look like a stripper in full hair and makeup, but somehow I just don't look it. I think it might be my bag that does the trick, just a regular sized messenger bag with band patches and one painted on band logo.

I agree with this. I like having my hair and makeup done before I'm at the club. Feeling put together before hand helps me feel more confident and in turn helps me make money.

I'm sure it's different for everyone.

I wanted to add that many times I'm dressed up because I'm coming from my day job... I'm in sales.

In NYC most of the girls dress up for work. A lot of the Russian girls come in wearing heels higher than their dance shoes and designer ensembles. The Brooklyn hipsters show up in really swanky trendy, artsy stuff.

Me... I'm a bum. Plus I don't wanna take the subway at 4am looking all dressy. Nahhh... I never want to draw attention to myself.

In the winter I wear warm comfy clothes like track suits and my slippers (don't flame). But now that it is warm I always wear a dress and look nice.

Aww, I'm guilty of this. I'm always dressed immaculantly coming in and out of work--But usually it's because I've been running errands all day or I may or may not go out with friends after work for drinks or food... It's not like I dress up SPECIFICALLY to enter and leave work--there's just a lot of other shit that goes on before and after that requires me to look decent leaving the house.

I suppose if my day consisted of just going to work and coming back home only... I'd probably wear pjs. I dunno. I feel weird going out in public wearing pajamas. I think it's a hangover from living in the big city.

I dress up to go to work. I shower, do my hair and makeup, wear heels. I walk through the entire club to get to the DR. The minute I walk into the club Im in stripper mode. This helps. Not to mention te guys see you in your street clothes and it helps pre-sell dances.

Once Im done working my stripper self is turned off. All the makeup comes off, hair in pony, comfy clothes and flip flops.

I think I look put together but I don't usually wear anything too dressy to work. I tend to stick to flats or converse and a nice pair of jeans. I have to be dressy for my day job so on the weekends when I dance I like to more comfy.

I admire girls that can put on a pair of a killer pair of heels and a nice dress at 2am and continue to party...but I am getting too damn old for that ! I'll take my comfy clothes and drive my ass home thank you very much!

My favorite part of my job is:

    - Counting my money
    - Dancing to good music
    - Luxuriously slipping on my flippies or tennies after a long night in platforms...ahhh

And I make a point to have make-up/hair done before I walk in, but wear very loose clothing so I don't get any pantie or bra lines on my skin...

On many weekend nights I dress like l'm going to a nightclub after work. (I would love to do that in real life but most places are closed by the time I leave the club).

I don't mind putting on heels again after work- my dance shoes never hurt me feet even after wearing it for hours at a time.

Best of all it is a great fuck off to walk to my car looking dressed up and have the losers who waved me off in the club to try hard to get my attention. They yell out my stage name- and I just keep walking!

I don't want to be recognized after I LEAVE the club. So I do tend to put on some makeup and my wig before I arrive, and take it off only after I exit!

It really depends for me. I always have my hair and make-up done but since I shower right before work I tend to wear whatever I'll be wearing to bed that night so I don't get an extra pair of clothes dirty.

I just care about warmth and comfort when coming and leaving the club. Plus once I wore my tight jeans to work and had trouble putting them on at the end of the night after 10 hours dancing my legs were swollen.

So I usually wear bagging trackies tucked into my ugg boots.
Customers have seen me walking out like that and thought it was hot.

Now that I work nights, I usually try to look more decent when it comes to my hair and makeup, but I still wear sweats and T-shirts w/tennis shoes. When I worked days, I would come w/minimal makeup and the same sweats and T shirt combo.

One club I worked at several years ago said that you had to come to work made up and in a dress or skirt. I think it's b/c everyone could see you coming in from a busy street. Then again, this was also a club that used to make you wear RED AND ONLY RED lipstick.

the girls who dress up to go to work are the ones who'd show up for an 8 am chemistry lab in the same outfit, with their makeup done, and hair that took an hour. that's how they always dress.

if i ever get around to buying genuinely nice clothes, i'd probably wear it when i work. either way, the shoes get kicked off in the car.

as it is, i wear what i wear anywhere else...jeans and a tank top. long sleeves when it's cold.

and girls who walk into work in 10$ heather grey sweats from walmart, that's what they wear most of the time too.
