    Default Eczema because of Stripperboots?

    Hi,

I have this problem for a long long time, since i started stripping i have this problem:

Everytime i wear stripper boots like on the pics, i get itching like HELL that can last for a few weeks!!! i try not to scratch but during my sleep i scratch the places that have been covered by the boots completly open, its everytime the same thing, if i wear the knee boots the itching is only on that area bellow the knee, if i wear tigh high boots the itching is all over my legs till where the boots end, during wearing those kind of boots i dont feel anything its always 1-2 days after the itching starts, it doesnt get a rush but it itches really really bad!!!
The boots are or from plastic, latex or leather..... I have tried to wear cotton socks underneath incase i am allergic to the plastic or latex but also that doesnt help

I really HATE this and i dont understand why i am the only one who has this reaction to these boots non of the girls i know have this....

My question: Is there anyone who has this bad skin reaction to these kind of boots????

My only solution for this problem is not to wear these boots its a pitty because i love how they look on stage and it gives a better grip on the pole + lot of regular customers who have this fetish love them so they pay good money to see these boots on me!!! but my health is really more importent then money!!!!
Other then that i have no problem with my skin at all, i am 100% sure its only because of the boots......

Maybe someone knows why i have this problem????? I have been to my gp but she cant tell me why, she just advises me not to wear them anymore but other then that doesnt give me any more info about what it could be and why i get it She only gives me a cream that doesnt work at all!

Anyway if i dont wear them for a long time the itching dissapears out of itself after a few weeks but the moment i wear them for even 1 danceround(15 minutes) i get the horrible itch the next day and it stays for such a long time

Somebody knows what this is or has it also????

Its from the warmth and moisture irritating your skin. I have eczema also, which is why I can't wear boots for extended periods of time.

No I don't get reaction from those types of boots and I have two pair. I've had eczema on and off for all my life. When I was little I got a Rx. It was usually a topical steroid that made my skin sensitive to sunlight.

If you can't get to a doc right away but want some relief I used to use this:

Hope you find some relief soon.

can you get socks that wick moisture away from your skin better rather than just the cotton ones that get soaked and hold it all icky on your skin and get rubbed back and forth from movement of the boot?

Have you tried Gold Bond powder? It's available at any drug store. It's corn starch with some menthol, eucalyptus, etc in it. I have eczema as well and it really helps with eliminating the awful itching that happens when you sweat!

Oh, I have eczema on my legs. Girls if you have it, hear is a SURE fix, trust me. First of all to avoid it:

Shave your legs every day, it helps to exfoliate.

Mosturize twice a day. I do it once when I wake up and once after I shower.

When you have an outbreak of exzema, buy that Cortizone 10 1% hydrocortizone cream or a generic version. SLATHER it on your legs like a mosturizer, use a lot. Sadly, one tube only lasts for one application that way, but it is TOTALLY worth it, I promise it will clean it up.

That said, the boots aren't "giving" you eczema, you either have it or you don.t You might have it an the boots are aggrivating it, or the boots ar giving you a rash.

It sucks. to the op have you tried wearing heavy socks that come up and stick out a little bit past the boot so its not touching your skin? I have boots like that and thats what I do.

Dry out the skin, aka use a spray powder for athletes foot. Dry it out and you may not notice.

May I recommend Cetaphil lotion? It's fragrance free and many other things that don't irritate the skin. I used to use it when my eczema got really bad. It's also pretty cheap.
