    Default Thinking about part-time. . .

I have been debating about getting a part time job, mostly on weekends at a club near by. I already work full time 40 hour a week for a financial company. But would like to work more to help make ends meet, as well as have more fun, but make money too. Given the state of the economy, I was wondering what some of the current dancers out there think, or should I look for something else. Any feed back would be wonderful. Thanks you so much and this site ROCKS!!!

I think you should go for it. Times are hard so basically, do what you gotta do. You don't have to struggle you know. Just give it some more thought. And if you're comfortable, by all means, make that money girl!

Your right I should just try it out, after all I can quiet if I wont. I just need something a little more exciting in my life right now. Besides living on my own for the first time and working in a cubical all day.

I think you should defently try it, for part time should work out for you. I know several girls at my club that only come in on the weekends or on certain days. As for the money, I have had a bit of a slow down, yes. But I am sure its no more then if you where going to work at a restaurant or something like that. Good luck to ya

Personally, I think you should look to something else. I say that only because you have never danced before (correct). Money is tight all around. If you aren't a good salesperson/hustler then it will be harder for you to make the sale. With the economy being as bad as it is, it is definately weeding out the good dancers from the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide.

having a good hustle really helps. it's your way to make money.
but if you are a good looking lady with a nice body you are bound to make ok money... at least more than you'd make working anywhere else part time

Thanks for the advice, I would like to think your right too. I will stop in at the club I had in mind in the next few days to see what positions they have open. I'll just stop in after my day job, I'll be wearing a pant suit anyways . . . or would it be better to ware something different or sexier?

I mean, think about it this way: would you apply for a day job after being out all night our out running errands? I would personally make the extra effort to go home, do my make up very nicely, and put on a cute but not too serious outfit...jeans and a nice cute top and some high hells, or a skirt, dress, whatever. Good luck to get started!

I see your point, I guess I have been to so many other interviews for day jobs that I did not look at it that way. Now that I think of it I have a really hot mini-skirt and a slinky halter top that would work. I'll go with that, thx for the advise, you may have just saved me right there.

Do you have stripper clothing and shoes? It's not really an interview. It's an audition.

Anyway, this job is hard. Seasoned veterans are feeling the pinch and unfortunately club owners will hire lots of girls just to get the housefee because they too are feeling it.

Gymnastics won't help you much in the ways you need help in this business. How are you with sales? If guys were waving $20 bills around, it'd be great, but often you have to convince them to do dances. Can you take rejection, negative money nights, competition, cattiness and manager bullshit? Can you handle long periods of time with fewer customers than girls?

I think you could always try it, see if you like it, and then decide. I know more than a few girls who try it and don't go back. So long as you don't anticipate it being a traumatic experience...

Just to say, I see many girls try it and make very little, and then quit.

Try to imagine it like a big used car lot, and yourself as a sexily clad salesperson. And there are many other sharks in the water, so to speak. So whenever a customer walks onto the lot, there you go, a whole bunch of you, trying to see who gets to him first, without scaring him off of course...knowing that you have to sell that car to make money that day. Lol, this is what my club is like.

It's not so much a 'fun' job as it is something like the above scenario, more times than not. It should be a job you go for if you're into competitive sales.

Not to scare you off! Just to give a realistic picture. I still think there is room to make really good money, but it might really burn you out to work all week, and then have that kind of work all weekend.

I have done a few years in retail sales and took some marketing classes during college. So if I am selling a product and the product happens to be me I should do ok I think. I guess I will need to get some stripper cloths though. I saw snaz75.com had some I liked, I'll order off there. I wanted to go audition Saturday but I can wait. Thanks for helping a newbie like me out everyone has been wonderful.

If you start now you may make "beginners luck" money for a couple weeks. You'll most likely make more than had you stayed home, but if you're not a seasoned hustler your going to soon see that your putting more effort into it than your return.

When guys start diving for your pussy or trying to finger you all while trying to give you a 10 instead of a 20 for a dance, you'll see why some people are saying "don't get into it right now".

If you are just bored then I guess you have nothing to lose as going to a bar would probably cost you house fee anyways, but if your trying to make something of this stint it's not as "easy-going" (I use that loosely) as it was a few months ago.

I got my outfits from snaz75.com today, I think I will set up an interview/audition some time later in the week. Hopfully I could start this weekend.
