Default I can't find my 9/11 newspapers, that sucks.

It feels jarring, something missing and it ain't quite right. I see that there are Ebay millionaires already, but I just want them around for the sake of it, 50 years from now. They were from the Star-Ledger, the NJ paper. I had 9/11, 9/12, and one of those crazy XTRA! editions that I thought were just from WWII.

Sadly, I think it was an ex-friend of mine. Her stuff was in mine and my bf's house while she was away for 6 months, and I was away long-term when she went back to his house to get her stuff---she also took my $350 down comfortor. [email protected]#@##R#!!!

I thought I was the only one who saved stuff like that!!

I'll have to see if I still have mine. (They may have been left behind in my 2006 escape from my ex.)

Can you call and her and tell her they have important meaning to you and see if she would give them back? I can only imagine that's who has them if one day they were there one day they were gone you know?

I have about 45-50 papers and magazines. Part of my legacy, I suppose.

Omfg, that just reminded me.....I had the Millenium paper!!!!!! Jan. 1st, 2000. Now I'm really upset.

I just had those, kind of big days this century, don't you think?

What about magazines? When should you throw them away? Why are they like cockaroaches in my life? Lol. But tolerable cockroaches. I never know when to throw them out. I saved my first "teen" mags back in 1996-1997, thinking ppl would want to know what the 90's would look like in 40 years, but threw them away, same cycle now too, hoarde/toss.

Speaking of that....I found a 1937 issue of New Mexico magazine, damn!!! It's extra amazing, because Albuquerque's downtown didn't even exist in 1990! And it's the whole state.

But there's tons of magazines in this world, I'm not that sad.

(By throw away, I mean recycle, leave at the laundromat, etc. of course )

^Man. in '03 I decided to actually open mine up and see what else was going on that day, and saw disturbing news--this kid I knew thruout elem. and junior high, died of a heart attack while running track! 18 years old. And he really, truly, stood out as a "good kid" just like the paper said. What sad times.

Yup VP, I think she does. Unfortunately it was 2 years ago now, and I wrote her the biggest and most awesome fuck you letter of my life. I'm too proud and I know she'd never admit. Altho I did manage to manipulate Todd to manipulate her into returning my painting that she tried to steal. Oddly enough, it was just those items I think. Oddlier, she was a buddhist-living hippie to the fullest, but so judgemental towards me, like anytime I'd wear nail polish (seriously) that's why I broke it off w/her.

Wow, I thought I was the only one that saved them. I think I have about a million......Chicago Sun Times and I think some NY Times Natl edition as well, from pretty much every day in the week afterwards. I will send you one if you'd like, PM me an address/PO Box/whatev and I'll see what I have. I know it meant a lot to me to keep them, and I don't mind sharing one.

OK, actually let me post what I have. It's not as much as I thought ... the NYT was from a couple months later when I was in NYC and doesn't have much of anything of news-worthy value.

    Chicago Sun Times 9-12-01
    Chicago Sun Times 9-13-01
    Chicago Sun Times 9-14-01
    Chicago Sun Times 9-16-01 (Sunday)

    Chicago Tribune 9-12-01
    Chicago Tribune 9-13-01

I am willing to send you one if you are interested. Free of course. LMK.
