    Exclamation Biggest Complaints!

    Ok Ladies -

I need to know your biggest complaints about buying exoticwear online. From prices to sizing, to returns or customer service, cheap clothing lines etc. We are trying to set-up our store and want to get it right the first time.

I'll start with mine & yes I order form several sites

I HATE the sizing or lack of information about sizing. Different brands fit me different ways..I LOVE J Valentine & Roma....Hate Dreamgirl...& I still don't know which fucking size I am in ANY of them...LOL

Prices...I go in spurts as to how much I made that month, some of this shit is just too expensive (even wholesale...trust me..)

Let us have it...the good the bad & the UGLY
    Come see what we're wearing!

I wish there were more places with size options, as opposed to one size fits all.

the one size fits all is my biggest peeve.
I love dreamgirl cos the large was made for me practically, but i know what you mean about wholesale, the Uk dreamgirl wholesalers prices are higher than US retail :o
I think its good to have some expensive things (e.g roma, nom de plume) for treat-myself days and some cheapo basics (your good old leg avenue has its place here).
What i would love to see is nice mid priced gowns

One size fits all is massive on me. I assume it won't fit.

What the fuck is with g-strings having such a large string you can pull it over your head and still be comfortable?

The one size fits all thing for me too. WTF.

Also when the site doesn't list sizes of the clothing. Ya know when it says size small fits 30-32 hips and so on.

I hate the pricing of dancerwear. The idea of paying $50+ for a 2pc skirt set totally turns me off.

Also, the sizing. I prefer buying separates. Alot of girls have mixed measurments. I'm way larger on top than bottom.

I wasn't much on the pricing either, until my hubby pointed something out to me (they have their moments...few & far between....LOL)

It's a business investment (& tax write off!)
If I buy a say $75 outfit that gets me noticed more than the other dancers, how long would it take for it to pay fo itself??

After figuring average tips/VIPs & lapdances, it would probably pay for itself in a single night, to which he pointed out then night 2 using it would be all mine..simple I know, but since when has shopping ever been logical?? LOLOLOL

Anyway...it's kinda like buying a Lexus...expensive at first, but the value comes around...

    Damn...did I just say all of that?? LOL & I'm a fucking blonde!..LOL

I would say the styles. So many sites have shit that I saw on dancers when I was 18 and working at a tiny club in a small town...tight tube dresses...those loud flower prints...UGGGHHH.....

Uuurgghh.. in Australia stripper shoes are $200 and outfits are like $150-300, no freaking joke.

It's actually cheaper to buy that $50 two piece skirt set from America and get it shipped over NEXT DAY than to buy an outfit here.

OH THIS! I bought a pair of panties and NOWHERE in the ad does it say it's mesh. I bought it to match a bra and it really honestly looked like it did in the photo because it was photoshopped to look SOLID. Now I have a mesh panty and a solid cotton top... yeah that matches. Fucking photoshop.

There's a lot of well-priced stuff out there, you just need to know where to look.

My peeve is the sizing. The one-size-fits-all is usually the right length, right straps, fine in the hips, but then sags in the butt/boob area... I mean, is S-M-L REALLy that hard for some *cough*legavenue*cough* companies??

Yeah, it might pay off. That doesn't mean companies aren't jacking the prices up 100's of times what is reasonable. I'm sorry a lycra skirt and triangle top with a flower on the skirt does not cost 60$! (one example)

My friends over at sell a brand called Hey Baby of California and it is high quality stuff and it's sized Small, Medium, Large.
They are also working to get sizing charts up for each brand they sell.
I have had trouble with some one size stuff, and it was too small. Damn, I guess I'd better get back on the treadmill!

I too hate one size fits all. It was okay but now I got my boobs done, so I need bigger tops and still need a small bottom.

I hate the cheap quality of stuff. I understand if it doesn't cost much then it's cheap quality but if I pay $60 for an outfit and it looks like a 2 year old made it in home economics class, that is a huge disappointment.

I agree with the NO PHOTOSHOPPING. We don't go on the website to check out the models so they don't need to be "airbrush perfect". I think my best suggestion is to get actual models to pose with the outfits. If there were 2 website with the exact same prices, I would order from the website with real models because I get a better idea of what it will look like on me.

I like having pictures of the front AND back.

One size fits all has always worked for me but my boob and hip measurements are exactly the same, so maybe that's why. I also don't care if people are photo shopped (now that I have huge boobs and kind of look like them), just not the clothes!

I wouldn't mind having the measurements of how high boots are, or how long dresses are, or inseam of pants.

Oh also having a color guide. Like what color is your "turquoise" or "deep blue".

I forget the thread but I know i got the site from a SW post. Meanmaxine.com
They are out of indy and they have a store there. I love the thongs. They have sizes for anything. The custom place here that i always used went out of business. I called MM for some custom stuff that was really easy to describe. I really like their stuff, and the sizes. I like small thongs and I have little boobs.

howcool.com Sadly the costumes I wanted were cheapest even with shit shipping... so I had to get it. I spent $300 on costumes and boots and $95 was shipping. Fuckin' ell. I'm complaining if I don't see at least $80 of shipping charges on my packages, I tell you.

To top it all off, since outfits are like $150 a PIECE in this stupid overpriced country... you have to get it shipped from America and you have to pay shipping fees like that...

Yep. I own a ton of custom made garb from Maxine. I worked in Indy and she goes to all the clubs selling.

Some places pull the old Ebay trick...cheap clothes prices, make your money with bogus shipping.

Unfortunately, the shipping has gone way up due to gas/diesel prices. What used to cost us $30 - $35 for overnight, now runs almost $60.
That's an area we have no control over & it bites us in the ass for the exact reason you mentioned, no one wants to pay that much just for the frickin' shipping.

Do you seriously charge $95 for shipping to Australia for 3 thongs, two costumes and a pair of shoes?

Since when do thongs weigh half a pound each??!

Like I said, I understand handling and packaging... but if I don't see $75 minimum on my shipping docket, I'm complaining. (Not to you, to HowCool.com)

No...that's great! We asked what complaints were & everyone is telling us!

We did an order to Australia about 2 weeks ago that was $90 for the clothing and that 3lb package ground shipping (ok...so it flew...LOL) least expensive option for shipping cost $59.00 through UPS

God only knows what overnight would have run..

We are in the middle of re-doing our sizing charts to see if there is any way we can give a more accurate sizing info, and that's directly from evryone's comments!
