Do dancers feel as they are hypnotized by the music and the light?
How many dancers go into a trance when lap dancing?

yeah man were like fuckin mothes to a bug zapper....totally tranced out....woah....i think i see sparkles.....
I kinda get in a trance mode, depending on the song and if the customer is boring..

Most strippers I know are actually zombies. But not urrrr-urrrrr slow-moving zombies. Like the ones who danced with Michael Jackson in Thriller. I suppose that counts as a trance.
And I've been put into many a trance by a zombie dancer gyrating in a particular way in front of meeeeeeee....whoa, I just did it to myself. Barely snapped out of it.

Nah our music is way too lame and boring.
But I do get really bored sometimes depending on the customer.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.

it depends what drugs im taking at work.
just kidding![]()

You know how it is. Dumb 'ol strippers see a shiny thing and lose all sense of time/the present.
Though zoning out a god-awful customer is common enough.

I definitely get into a different state of consciousness, but it's not exactly a trance. Work is often based on rhythms, dancing doubly so. I find that the environmental cues bring out the bubbly "stripper personality" vs. my normal antisocial tendencies. :-)
Summer afternoon - Summer afternoon... the two most beautiful words in the English language. Henry James

Sometimes when I'm dancing I go into a trance when I look at the lights too long. Some people call it a seizure....I call it a very special kind of trance.
Sometimes, when I'm bored, I kind of forget what I'm doing on stage and keep doing the same move for a few minutes.
It's not because of the lights, or music. It's just boring.
