Default Different kinds of brass? My Platinum Pole sucks!

I ordered a Platinum Stages Super Pole, and I'm kind of mad.

My club has brass poles, and they are super easy to grip to, but this one is slippery like stainless steel. I'm suspicious that it's just brass colored or coated steel.

    Is this possible?

I have a stainless steel pole from lil' mynx and i've found it has much better grip immediately after a wipe-down with cheapo window cleaner. I make sure to wipe my hands off frequently too. Hope that helps.

That's really strange. Maybe they sent you the wrong one. I know X-pole has a gold titanium? coating. Does PS have something similar?

^ maybe that's it. I'm going to call them about it, but they have been less than helpful.

When I called because I was having problems installing it, the guy who was supposed to be helping me was loudly crunching chips the whole time, and kept interrupting me going "NO NO, you're not listening" when I was trying to explain that he was trying to help me with the wrong problem.

i should post this elsewhere, but if you live where you can drill holes, you should just buy a length of brass railing/pipe. it is cheap and still has club-level grip.

It could be because it's new. The poles at clubs get used a lot and this makes them more grippy. Also a pole will be less grippy when it's cold. So if you warm up on it - do spins and dance and then try some tricks when the pole is warmer it should have more grip on it.

There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.

Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
