half head $300-$500 3/4 head around $700 and full head is around $1000 depending how it's put in, what's used, how long it takes, and the quality of the extentions. beads are the best for your hair, the glue pretty much disolves if you use too much conditioner, wax isn't too bad it's better for you but still works on the same basis as the glue, wefts are sewn into the hair these are the hardest to look after and they look shitty as they grow out. but beeds are your best bet they thread the hair and yours through the bead then seal them with silicone and as you take them out they come away cleanly from the hair. asian hair is the best in my opinion by the way it is harvested (they tie the hair into a plait then cut it at the nape then feed it through a machine) rather than causasion hair that gets cut normaly pushed into a corner and someone sits there and makes sure all the hair is together and the right way up. i would suggest buying a extention brush instead of bristles the brush has loops that brush past the fasteners and only brush the longer part of the hair therefore preventing the extentions being pulled out. but these prices are australian your best bet is to go and talk to different salons and find the best deals.

Thanks
Appretiate it.

Mine were 2.5K - yeh Im an idiot and next time I wont be paying that much.
Dont get asian or indian hair unless thats what sort of hair u have.
Mine is virgin russian hair - with about 3 diff shades of blonde.
There are many stereotypes about the industry that I work in. Sometimes they can be true but human beings are very diverse creatures and cannot be pigeon-holed into one category.
Some of the most effortlessly beautiful, kind, intelligent, successful, motivated, driven and ridiculously hilarious women that I have ever met have been dancers. I've met the best friends that I've ever had in this industry.
It's not counted as virgin if it's been processed, and you don't find many russians with blonde hair...i would think it had undergone some chemical processing.
Just check the hair is remy/remi grade, which means the cuticles ar aligned and won't rub up against each other to give that ratty backcombed effect...
The best method of attachment depends on your hair, what's right for one may not be for another, if you have very fine or shorter hair fusion ~(glue) bonding or shrinkies will create the most undetectable bond, if you had thicker hair say past your shoulders, then mircorings or even pinchbraiding would be good.
~Glue isn't bad if the extensionist knows what they are doing!!~
All extensions require a fair amount of maintainance and you have to be gentle with them when washing/brushing. Always listen to the care info given to you. Ask about special products like serums/leave in conditioner etc..
I can't help you with US prices, but over here in a salon you're looking at anything from £300-£600.

Is it possible to get any length or do they have set lengths?
If you can is it that much extra?
If i get a half head what exactly does that mean. would a half head do?
like i said i only use clip ins atm
Im in queensland too so if anyone has any salons they can reccomend that would be great.

Depends on what you want. I would highly recommend human hair because you won't be able to apply heat to synthetic hair plus human hair just looks more natural. European or virgin human hair will be the most expensive.
Also it depends on who you get to do it and how they put them in. Bonding with keratin or silicone will be the most expensive and should last the longest. Great Lengths and So Cap are bond extensions. You can also opt to have your extensions sewn/weave in, it's more short-term and less expensive. Glue in or clip ins are even shorter term and often used on a temporary basis.
If you go to a stylist who has training from So Cap or Great Lengths you will pay for their time, expect to pay at least 50 dollars per hour and it can take 4-8 hours depending on how much you want put in. I don't know how long it takes to sew/weave in extensions but you will still have to pay for the labor there as well. Glue or clip in don't take as long and are more temporary. So if you want something more temporary that will be your best bet.
Yes, the thicker your hair is the more extensions you'll likely need if you are doing it for length. If your hair is fine you will probably want to add some for thickness and length.
Also a "fill" is required on a monthly to bi-monthly basis as the extensions will shed and fall out. I usually paid 400 bucks for a fill b/c I required 2 packets of hair and it took my stylist 2-3 hours to do it.

YES! there is different types being african american I have a lot more options of the hair extentions, wigs, lace wigs, weaves, fusion.
ranging from 30 to around 1,000.
for 5 minutes to maybe 6 or 8 hours of sitting there and getting it done.

my first set i got cost me $600 for full head of human hair..just the glue in ones tho...but it fucked up my own hair and the hair that grew above the glue got soooo knotty..
the 2nd lot cost me around $800 but that was to get the old ones removed, hair dyed and new ones put in..glued in as before
now i use clip ins, theyre heaps easier, esp if you want to get volume, i found with the glued in ones, i couldn't get much volume in my hair at all.
i had real clips...
just depends on the hair you buy
i just got my weave redone(so fed up of losing my hair due to fusion)
i just paid 150/per pack, i got 2 packs of 24 inch platinum blonde
usually the longer the length the more expensive
I had So.Cap and LOVE LOVE LOVED them. They are are keratin bonded and lasted me 6 months. Like I've said before though..I took GREAT care of them. I had 6 inches of regrowth, and NO tangles. But that is rare, and if you don't have the time/patience to care for them then go a different route. And don't get hair from Asia unless that is your hair type already. It's too heavy, and from what I've been told it'll weigh down your real hair and put more stress on it.
