So, normally I'm not this socially paranoid, but for some reason this is truly wigging me out.
I have a friend (that I hook up with, I'm in an open relationship now) who lives in LA. When he comes to NY (which is every other month or so) we've tried to see each other. I met him at work. He's really awesome and I think I would completely fall in love with him if I weren't in a relationship already.
Anyways, he's in the city now, and he's invited me to the Billy Joel concert at Shea Stadium with a married couple he knows. Ok, so its like a double date. I can deal with this. I've met the guy, he's pretty nice.
Whats the problem?
My friend is turning 40. I'm 20.
He really is the coolest guy I've ever met, and if he didn't have that super hot George Clooney dark-brunette-hint-of-grey thing going in his hair, I wouldn't have believed him when he told me how old he is. He produces music videos and is just the coolest, most polite, nicest guy I've ever met.
His friends are his age. Tomorrow, the car service is picking me and the married couple up in Manhattan and taking us out to where the guy is. I am so freaked out about this car ride. The wife is supposedly the original friend of my guy's, and therefore pretty cool., but we all know how women can be. What if she's freaked out about how young I am?
And the concert- Billy Joel? He's unfortunately a little before my time and I'm not really a fan, which is going to highlight the age gap even more.
God. Please, shoot me now!![]()
